My Dress-Up Darling

Sep 2, 2022

I think this review will change as I continue to read My Dress Up Darling, but what stands out is definitely the 6/10 Story rating, and it's not to bash on the quality of the story, I think it's more a personal preference issue more than anything.

Before addressing the story, I'll briefly cover my rating choices for Art and Characters.  8/10 Art: Considering the "tier" I place this manga at, specifically how it's also targeted to younger audiences, the art is decent, not particularly outstanding. Considering the characters of this manga series, art style akin to Saburouta's Citrus... See full review

Queen Bee (Andrew)

Jul 24, 2022

I'm not one for trigger warnings so I'll label it as a disclaimer, There's alot of graphic and "triggering" content within this webtoon, as per usual with Borderline-H Korean comics. (rape, ntr)

I've been finding myself reading and watching both extremely "hard to consume" media from A-P as well as the common iyashikeis just to balance myself out, and by god is Queen Bee a riveting reading.

Plot put simply, you follow the main character who he and his family are practically fiddled around with in the palm of one of the most infuriating and rage-inducing landlord... See full review

Kitanai Kimi ga Ichiban Kawaii

Feb 26, 2022

This is not a spoiler free review, be warned! I highly, highly, highly suggest not picking this manga up because you very likely will hate it's ending. It's a waste of time reading this for any other reason except a quick dark-psych binge.  Kitinai Kimi Ga Ichiban Kawaii is definitely a fucked up manga, and please heed to previous reviews suggesting not even starting to read this. The plot follows 2 girls with some odd fetishes and all-in-all is just crass and crude in many ways. It's a traditional S/M relationship which is subject to a role reversal later on, which is essentially all the character... See full review

World's End Harem

Jan 30, 2022

World's End Harem is one of those stories which initially comes off as incredibly crass and based on shallow humor, but as you read and are presented into a series of unfolding situations, you begin to view W.E.H in a completely different light.  I had heard about the show coming out for the Winter 2022 season and didn't think much of it, figured it was a DxD clone with a similar premise, and boy was I wrong. I was introduced to the show formally by some buddies of mine over lunch at University, and finally delved into the show. After finding out there was a manga, you know exactly what I... Citrus+

Oct 14, 2021

One of the first 2 Manga's I bought in paperback just due to how amazing it is. (Citrus & Citrus+,Grand Blue Dreaming)

The story takes place after Volume 10, and is NOT a "side story." This is a continuation before the hasty and time-skipped happy ending in the Original Manga.  Art:
Saburo Uta once again hits us with absolutely dazzeling visuals, artwork, and all that jazz. I don't think I've seen visuals like this in any other Manga series. Character and outfit design is out of this world. For those who read Citrus, you'll know that it's super angsty, Citrus+ is much more... See full review

Citrus

Sep 8, 2021

Citrus is a pioneer, and I understand why it's garnered mixed emotions. Where in my still rather amateur experience with Yuri manga and anime, I've learned that one commonly known aspect of yuri is that, oversexualization is seen as a flaw. That's why Manga/Anime like Bloom Into You, Kase-san, or even as far back as Maria Watches Over Us at least, in my opinion, are classy and tasteful in their own sense, highlighting relationships without the superficial* aspect of oversexualization. *(Keep in mind that sex and lust are important aspects to relationships, much like emotion). Now, as I'm writing this... See full review

Futago-tachi no Shojijou

Don't waste your time reading this. Chapters are like 4-5 pages long, no story, no depth, nothing. Its garbage.

Domestic Girlfriend

Jun 23, 2021

Domestic Girlfriend starts off as what appears to be a Harem Manga, following the primary MC Fujii Natsuo starting from his 2nd year in HS. However it's much more than just a harem story, and more importantly the trials and tribulations one faces to achieve happiness in their life. I'll get the specifics about my review in terms of Story/Art/Characters knocked out in the next few paragraphs, and then I'll deep dive on my whollistic review.  Story: 10/10. Not to get into spoiling the story, but there is a disclaimer in that the last 5 or so chapters are pretty fucking wonky. Otherwise, Domestic... See full review

Rent-A-Girlfriend

Jun 16, 2021

9/8/21 EDIT: Just realized I dropped a review on Rent-A-Girlfriend, I'll just give you guys who read this fair warning, this manga loops and loops and loops a cuck MC with 0 development whatsoever. It's a collosal waste of time to read. If you can enjoy the humor of the manga, glad you can, otherwise, there is no attractive feature to this Manga, whatsoever. Making this review at the beginning of Chapter 175. I'll just make it this simple, if you enjoy following along hte story of a absolute beta pussy of a guy as he tries to constantly get close eto his ideal girlfriend, just to get into absolute... Bloom Into You

Jun 15, 2021

So far, in terms of Yuri Manga/Anime I've watched Candy Boy and Citrus, as well as read Citrus+.

This by far, even compared to a non-yuri anime like Domestic Girlfriend, has one of the best stories that I've ever read.  Story: The pacing of this Manga is immaculate, the flow of the story moves well, not to overdwell on character's and their qualities but gradually revealing more and more about them as you read. It's amazing to see Yuu and Touko develop as humans and understand themselves, which apex's at the end of the novel perfectly. I initially watched the Anime Adaptation, before... See full review

Kiss x Sis

Jun 13, 2021

Dogshit Manga. Literal dogshit. Nothing happens in the entirety of the story, literally nothing. You feel like you're going in circles when reading this.  Plot: 0 Plot, literally. You follow the male MC around as he gets into weird situations that initially seem funny but become so monotonous throughout the manga that it becomes a slog to read through. Art: Half-assed drawing, no effort, it's not good at all. Feels like I'm reading a rough-draft 70% of the time. Characters: Shallow, no development, and much like the plot nothing happens with them. You have maybe 1 or 2 love triangles present but... See full review

Unbalance x 3

Jun 11, 2021

Definitely just an "eh". Remember reading this on some mobile reader a few months back. Appreciate the full-color art but story is a little far-fetched and lacks depth. Could likely also be the hiatus that was announced something like 3 years ago, where we just sorta left on a cliffhangar.

Nozoki Ana

Jun 7, 2021

Funny enough watching the video adaptaion on a particular website got me into reading Manga altogether. This was, I think the first Manga I had read cover to cover and despite being nearly H, it really does wrench and tug at your heart as you get immersed in Kido's world. I'm writing the review the morning after I finished the manga (for the 2nd time), and I still have my thoughts looped up into the story and the characters. I've yet to find another Manga that can replicate the emotions I felt when reading Nozoki Ana, so hopefully I come by one soon.
