The reason I am using made-up pronouns instead of they/them/their is because I personally see enough value in having a distinction between singular and plural pronouns that I think it's worth the moments of added confusion it might cause for my readers. I will say, though, that even if I used they/them/their pronouns, I would still get some readers who stumbled over the sentences or were confused by my meaning or who were upset by my "political message."

And at the end of the day, all words are made-up. People introduce lingo and slang and new terminology all the time into the English language, and we as readers tend to adapt. I think the reason why seeing made-up pronouns feels more out of place than seeing made-up nouns, verbs, or other parts of speech is because we're used to seeing those other parts of speech getting new additions all the time, while pronouns haven't really changed for centuries.

I do hope that, eventually, you will get used to seeing these non-traditional pronouns and will just gloss over them as you read through my sentences. 'Cause they are a very minor part of my reviews and all of the words surrounding them are far more important and worth paying attention to.

In the anime They explained that Yume and Irido were a couple before they became step-siblings, they didnt want thier parents to know so they hid it from them. And what she never wanted to be with Mizito thats a new for me or I just forgotten since its been months for me now.

Carnufex, I'm using gender neutral pronouns. A while ago now, I decided to do so within all of my reviews because I'd like to help people get used to reading gender neutral pronouns and help people recognize that there's no intrinsic reason for pronouns to be gendered at all (that they're just a grammatical tool at their core and we can choose to disconnect them from gender identity if we want to).

Wow that's a really wonderful takeaway on I Have a Secret, thank you for explaining it to me. Seeing their powers as a manifestation of their empathy puts the book in a different perspective for me.
