Oh and although i haven't posted a comment on your blog for ages, im still reading it so keep up the great work!! Im REALLY looking forward to your entry on Katana 11, =D
I love reading blogs after watching an episode, it's like eating mochi (the episode) and then drinking green tea (blogs), it really brings out the essence and the flavour of the episode XD
Or on a less metaphorical note, it's like watching the ep twice but in less time ^.^
Well, it's safe to say that the first episode wasn't to your liking. While I agree, I'm willing to give the series the benefit of the doubt and watch a few more episodes before forming my conclusion. Chances are, though, I'll probably end up watching it all. I'm fairly tolerant and/or receptive in that regard.
I'm curious, did you ever watch the first episode of Seitokai Yakuindomo? Despite coming from the studio that gave us Princess Lover, it's surprisingly amusing (even though the lewd innuendos that frequently popped up throughout became somewhat repetitive). Production is pretty stylish too. I suppose, in hindsight, that was the only positive thing I could say about Princess Lover, so I'm glad to see that GoHands are putting their abilities to, um, better use. First episode, though, so it's hard to determine how such an eccentric series like this will transpire. :P
Hmm, I've not had any qualms with the animation, let alone inconsistencies, and the pacing seems appropriate, given the context of how the plot is foretold. Amusedly, such qualms remind me of another series that began airing in this season... In any case, as I've said, there's no point continuing something you're not enjoying. :)
