In these manga, the protagonists are transported or reincarnated into another world - but instead of being content with immersing themselves in a fantasy role, they take on virtually the same job they had on Earth. They might find a niche in the world that only their industry knowledge can fill, or be so bent out of shape by the local cuisine or culture that they decide to bring about change one business at a time. Some of these characters end up pivoting from their primary Earth role to something very similar, or be bestowed with abilities that compliment their professional abilities.
