Hi hi, I just came across your profile and thought how cute your avatar is, nice to meet you.
Well its true that this show followed some steps mentioned in history, however they didn't die because the show respected the historical line but because the game ended like that. This show had actualy two plots, one that was in term with reality (the civil war) and one that was in term with fantasy (the battle between the Shinsengumi and the Oni clan).
Even though this one ended in the most tragical way possible, it was probably the only show that really made me stick to the screen for upcoming episodes and personaly i do not enjoy sad endings unless that anime made a deep impression.

I really dont watch many of Clamps creations. but i loved Chobits and after i saw your recommendation and your review i think i will give a Try and watch Kobato!
