  I am Western Central Florida born and post-married with Children from Middle Tennessee, Murfreesboro to Nashville with the last 6 months up there in Winchester working in Manchester.

  Watched "Shogun" miniseries 1st time in 1980 at only 10, & have watched it at least once since but without the Japanese Translations it is just horrid compared to the book which at least gives you Japanese and then english of what is said. I can not remember the first time I read the book but have reread a couple times over the past years and just really love to listen to it at least 2-3 times a year on Audiobook. Toda Mariko based (though only loosely) from the real life of Hosokawa 'Gracia or Garasha" Tama, has been my ideal Japanese Love Interest since forever. If only I could have ever met the reincarnation of her and now it'd especially be great if I could find her novelized personality, I would love to find characters in anime based on her or the reincarnation of her from "Shogun".

 My anime 1st started with stuff like Space Ghost, Speed Racer, Space 1999 & Harlock in the 70's and Voltron & Robotech Macross Saga with their first showing in the US I believe in around '84 with a bit of the US version of Transformers followed by many years without watching till around 2010 on.

I am EX USN Sonar Tech Submarine, Finally fully Retired, Supervising Foreman for a family Dewatering company giving me years of living in Charleston SC. and Tuscaloosa AL., 4 & 5 star dining bartender in Destin Beach and Orlando FL and finally Realtor licensed in both TN. from '93 and FL. from '02, never putting my 6 years of college education from Miami and MTSU to use. Though I attended those schools, growing up I was partial to UF & Annapolis Naval Academy and so will always root on anything UF especially over FSU, Tuscaloosa AL., TN., GA., NC., SC., them inbreds from Arkansas and even the Hurricanes. And most Definitely Navy over Army though not an academy graduate as my brother Anthony from VMI and living out my dream as a Navy Pilot. I having been born 9 years earlier and getting glasses in '83 had to give up that dream and went on to take to Subs as Sonar Tech under the waves as I couldn't fly above them.

 Great Grandson & Great Cousins on Mother's side from far to many to list CSA Soldiers and a Couple Yankees on her Maternal side, Some of which from a large family and horse farm in KY were actually Brothers taking their horses to either side. 
 Though most mostly from Morgan County, GA in the 1860 having almost all immigrate from NC and VA around the early 1800's to Morgan, Newton & some from Oglethorpe County GA. and later ending with my Maternal Grandfather being from Covington, Newton Co. GA.
  My Maternal Grandmother being from Kansas City, Missouri, her Ancestors mostly hailing from KY, Western NY and some from NC almost all via VA.
  I am proud to say that most were large families with slave holdings, most of which that I can find had actually freed them before Lincoln's damned War of Northern Aggression. Some giving them portions of their GA. estates to build homes on.

 I also hail as the 3rd Generation Born in US on Father's side all of whose grandparents immigrated around 1910 from Italy to Rome NY, the Maternal side from the Southern Mountains near Salerno as best I can tell as my Grandmother had told me that her folk were from the Southern Mountains area and her Maiden name was Salerno.
