Hee! Well, when it comes to beer, I've been drinking it a lot longer than I have anything else, so I'll be much better at that than I am at bourbon! I'm a huge fan of Belgian/Belgian-style stuff and it's a thin slice that affords you a lot of depth when it comes to flavor. Saisons are probably my favorite type of beer; I just can't get enough of that funkiness! SAISON DUPONT is really high up there on my list, as is that brewery's AVEC LES BON VOEUX, if you can get your hands on it. STILLWATER CELLAR DOOR is pretty phenomenal as well, though that brewery's still working on upping their distribution. My hands down favorite beer ever would be the HITACHINO NEST WHITE ALE, though, which is crisp as any white ale I've ever had with a subtle, lingering apple pie finish. Phenomenal.
Bourbon's a bit tougher since I've only had so few, though I did make a pilgrimage to Louisville, KY to do the bourbon trail a while back! WOODFORD RESERVE is just getting bigger and bigger, though with good reason. It's as solid a mid-shelf as any other. When it comes to the few truly impressive bourbons I've had, I'd say MICHTER'S and BAKER'S 7 YEAR OLD will do anyone good.
Let me know about your likes!
Oh hey, thanks for the follow, like, ages ago! I'm WAY TOO INTO both beer and bourbon as well, and I'm also trying my best to get better at graphic design. Seems we are gonna be quite simpatico!
You're welcome! Thank you for following me too and for the compliment ^^ I've wanted to watch Wolf Children and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time for a while now, so I'll definitely watch them and have a look at Satoshi Kon's movies too!
Waah, I didn't know that! I'm definitely going to check that one out soon.
And I hope you'll enjoy reading it ^^
Waah, I'm jealous. There are way more manga titles in French than there are in Dutch or English >.<" ANd Brussels has this really good anime/manga store; hard to find those around here.
I'm studying in Louvain right now, so we're actually not that far away xD
