Yah that's what I've heard about the live action, is that they changed a lot of the original story. I can definately see why you'd prefer the anime. How far into it are you? I've seen some of it but I watched the live action and it was really good! Ooh that's hard, I think my favorite anime is The Apothecary Diares or Kamisama Kiss.
