Digimon Adventure Tri. Movie 6: Future

May 5, 2018

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR ALL OF DIGIMON TRI: IF YOU'VE WATCHED THIS YOU SHOULD'VE SEEN THE OTHER 5 MOVIES. What can I say about Digimon? It's a classic children' anime. It's not perfect, but it's very good. The first series, Digimon Adventure, was a classic, and it contained itself very nicely. The add on to the story, Our War Game (directed by the man who would later direct Summer Wars, Mamoru Hosoda), served as a great addition! Then came Season 2. Season 2 had lots of problems, not the least of which were: 1. Focus - Several writers had different ideas about where it would go, so several plotlines are... See full review

Dragon Drive

Nov 27, 2017

This anime adds a lot of unneccessary characters and removes many of the iconic plot points/crucial plot elements from the manga. This is stacked on top of the Playstation-era looking 3D dragon models. Please just go read the manga, it's actually much better than this travesty.

So here's a short summary of the positives of this show. -Like 99% of anime from the past 5 years, it's pretty. -Kayo (the little girl with an abusive home) and Satoru's mother are both pretty cool. -The music, just like 99% of anime from the past 5 years, is pretty nice. Here are the negatives: -Time travel is never explained and comes in when it's convenient to the plot, with no explanation ever. No thought is ever given to what it means to change the past, don't expect to see any kind of Butterfly Effects or philosophical musings here. -The main character is terrible. He never thinks about... See full review

BlazBlue: Alter Memory

Feb 26, 2014

The basic instruction that I can give anyone who watched this anime is, "Play the games. This is an anime for the games. If you watch this anime without playing the games and liking the story, you're screwed." BlazBlue: Alter Memory is as compressed as can be expected for a series spanning 2 3/4 worth of games' stories (Looking at you, Capcom style additions like "Extend" and "II"). It cut the entire first game of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger down to about 2 1/2 episodes, which neatly summarized Ragna's "True Ending" in that game. The last 9-10 episodes retells... See full review
