Litterally so true tbh thus fandom kinda ruined Mha for me-
Gotcha, thanks for the advise.
"I really don't see how you can not like him, yes he's overly heroic at times but he's also very funny."
I see Touma as a flat wish-fulfillment character that is never allowed to be wrong and wins against opponents he has no business winning against.
That, and he steals Mikoto's thunder in her own show.
"He also knows how to get bitches better than anyone else."
Which, again, is part of being a wish fulfillment character.
"I'm sorry, but I think everyone one here is forgetting this world is literally a game."
No, it's not. The New World is real and its people are real. Ainz's actions have consequences.
"Don't think of him as a Hitler-like tyrant and brutal bully, think of him as some kid playing an RTS game..."
A tyrant and a bully are exactly what he is.
"...if any of you were in his position, you would probably either do what's he doing or much worse."
Maybe. Doesn't change the fact that his actions are horrific.
I appreciate you following up with the update my dude. I haven't gotten my hands on the first part dvd release yet, tho I have seen screenshots and a few clips highlighting key differences between the before and after. I agree the space scenes looks much better, the lighting change ups they made to those scenes makes it blend much better and not stand out as a sore thumb as much. Seems like they added more detailing to Nia's inverse as well, which I can definitely can get behind since it was something I saw the LN readers were pretty upset by when it came out.
Only change I don't like so far is what they've done to Shido hair. Not sure why they felt like it needed to go from being darker and spikey to being shiny and gelled down. And they made the effort to make this change in almost every episode and scene so far, which is kinda a bizzare thing they felt the need to focus on instead of other things.
I was aware that the intro was outsourced to the same studio that made their mobile game, DAL Spirit Pledge. Wasn't expecting it to completely match that intensity and quality, but... not the awful, plastic action figure fight we got. But I don't think outsourcing can be blamed for their terrible CGI tho. I went through the list of other anime Geek Toys made awhile ago to see if DAL was given the short end of the stick, but it turns out it's probably their best work... since the rest of the projects ranged from meh to god awful. Their list of other titles are Plunderer, RErideD, Fantasia Sango, and Hensuki. Of the 4 the only one I've seen is Hensuki, so I went through the reviews and rankings of the other 3 - and it's all the same: Horrible CGI was biggest problem with all 3. Plunder was passable but it's animation grade is by far it worst quality it seems. And Sango and RErideD have an average overall rating between a 4-5/10 on most sites, which is horrible.
I'm really on edge for season 5. Geek Toys has shown it struggles hard with anything involving CGI and I would hate to see the climax of the series butchered by it. As for a season 4 re-eval, most of what has been fixed up has been good so far. Waiting to see if they fix up the Tenka/Mukuro/Origami fight before I lock in my final grade for season 4. Lighting changes won't be able to patch up that particular episode like it did with the space ones, so I'm not as optimistic for it being fixed... but I'll at least hope for it
