Watched a few episodes of anime here and there when I was younger. I got super into it around 2013-2015-ish, and overwatched and burnt myself out.

I'm now back into anime in a way very similar to how I was back then. The amount of anime I watch now is probably equal to when I suffered burnout, but I'm watching more shows I genuinely enjoy, so I think it should be fine

Hey man I added you on Snapchat. Not sure if you noticed, but I don’t check the comments section of my page too often. Actually didn’t figure ppl looked at it tbh. Hmu on Snapchat if you wanna talk and get together sometime. I’d love to catch up

Thank for the follow, I guess. Our tastes did not seem dissimilar at first glance, I just seem to be a bit more generous with the ratings.

However, you appear to have stalled ERASED and Shin Sekai Yori.  My only recommendation is for you to stop stalling ERASED and Shin Sekai Yori.

No problem! I always like to help out newer people since I remember what it was like trying to figure out where to start. To be frank, I understand the burnt out thing. My buddy who got me more into it has a hard time finding things to watch anymore. I go on one to a couple month breaks sometimes. It's just how it is. If you watch too much or things you don't like, it's going to want to make you watch it less. As a university student, sometimes I just don't have the time to be consistently watching. This is just a personal opinion, but I'd stay away from currently airing shows. First off, as someone who is somewhat fresh to the scene, you have a LOT of famous classics to hit both in shows and movies. Not only do you know they are good (although obviously you have to decide if the genre and everything fit with your tastes), but you get to watch at your own pace since you don't have to wait a week for new episodes. I've been watching for years, and I still have enough on my want to watch list that I still don't even think about touching current seasons. I have only recently started watching multiple things at the same time, but this still makes sense. I'm watching one by myself, one with one friend, and another with a second friend. This way they all still kind of pace themselves out. There's no rush to watch anything. As far as the dropping thing goes, I've only ever seen like three shows I didn't like, so I force myself to never drop things. Again, that's more of a personal preference, but I do agree that five episodes is a decent amount of time to figure out if you like a show or not. Lastly, you mentioned there's so much that interest you. This is a good way on structuring what you watch and how to find interests. Stagger shows between genres. If your first show is a shounen, watch a comedy next. Then maybe an adventure/fantasy show. Then maybe find a slice of life or something. Basically, just diversify what you watch until you have an idea of your likes and dislikes, then it's much easier. Don't be afraid to try something new. I've found quite a few shows in genres I never thought I'd watch. Let me know if you want some recommendations or just some more advice. Hopefully you can dig into your interests!

I see you followed me. Just off a glance it looks like you're fairly new to anime. If you ever want recommendations, feel free to ask for them or just look at either my lists or 4-5 star shows/movies. Random piece of advice too; you're watching a lot of stuff at the same time. That's a good way to either not enjoy one show to its fullest potential or just burn yourself out on anime. I'd suggest slowing down and doing no more than a few. Obviously that's just a suggestion though, and everyone has different experiences with how they watch stuff. Have fun man!
