Potentially intriguing mystery, story, and concepts utterly ruined by some of the worst character writing I have seen in the last decade.

I don't mind annoying characters, written well with the intention of having genuine personal trauma and reasons for acting the way they do. This show has none of that. It has a ceaselessly loud, obnoxious, out of touch and not plausible main character that exists solely for the sake of making every non-logical choice possible, and by episode 1, you find yourself already uninterested with the plot thanks to the character not shaping or being shaped by the story.

You can very quickly realize that the show is built around the main character, but if he's also the primary reason the show sucks, then everything else built around it in support just falls apart.

Quite a disappointment.
