I don't know what exactly I was expecting from this anime, but I guess I'm just hoping anime as a whole is getting better. I'm not speaking about quality or the story, I'm speaking of representation and presentation of marginalized people. Specifically, Marie is presented as obviously transgender but she is played as a joke. We have had beautiful anime portraying trans characters and their struggle and yet, this is going back to outdated tropes and stereotypes. If we have better representation and we stop encouraging the ridicule of trans people, then we can as a culture, or really as many interconnected... See full review
Junjou is simply adorable. It's everything that is sickly sweet about yaoi while somehow not being too overbearing. Literally every other scene has a stuffed animal, bright flower or candy. And I *love* it. This started my yaoi obsession and that fire still burns strong today and will continue to for several year. Thank you Nakumura for this, for Sekaiichi, for Hybrid Child, and for introducing me to my passion.
See full reviewI was crying over a story based around sex dolls. How hard is that to do? The characters were so real and sympathetic and the stories so intricate, it made for amazing viewing. 10/10
See full reviewI am not a huge fan of sports anime, but this one has caught my attention. I'm waiting anxiously for the third season already to see the results and what the players decide to do after.
See full reviewIt was fun and gave a lot of insight into the minor characters. I especially like Lev and Kenma. Kenma is so cute. I think I like them better than the main duo, but it's a close call.
See full reviewA world in which all the cute girls are cutesy babies and Io's a teacher with his hands full. What could possibly go wrong? It is the most adorable thing I have seen. I wish they'd done more of these.
See full reviewFirst ever sports anime I've ever watched. If they are all as good as this one, I'm never going back. Loved the characters and their relationships.
See full reviewJust plain hilarious! Hetalia never fails to amuse me. Seeing all the countries interacting is simply too much fun.
See full reviewAbsolutely adorable. Just like all the other episodes. Makes for a good ending to the series
See full reviewIt was a cute storyline, and it was the only reason I started watching Rave. I enjoyed it even if I'd only seen one of them at the time.
See full reviewSuper cute, super adorable! Tsumiki is the cutest protagonist in any anime I've watched recently. I love the interactions with Io and all of their friends. I would recommend this to anyone who likes cutesy things and slice of life, and everyone else anyway because they should watch this. I've sung the theme song so many times already, it's just too cute.
See full reviewHilarious. Perverted. Enjoyable, what more can you say? Loved every second of them
See full reviewThe music, the characters, the world, I loved all of it. The storylines on the other hand tended to be rather bland. But I'm much more drawn to world making than over the top stories, so this was every bit just my style. Each of the characters is loveable in their own way and I am always delighted by the fanbase and their dedication to good artwork, fan fiction, and especially the amazing cosplays.
See full reviewWhile the first Rewrite was not as good as the series, this was even worse. It adds nothing to the series and the ending was not nearly as good.
See full reviewAs much as I love the anime, I do feel the series wraps it up very nicely, so if given the choice I would stick with the series.
See full reviewWhile it may not be the greatest anime ever created, Death Note is a great anime to fuel an obsession. When my friends ask where to start with anime, this is always on my list for them. It's a great starting point for anyone new to anime because it hooks your attention and keeps it. Of course there are some points that drag and the "action" scenes can be a bit overdone, but I still found it overall a very fascinating watch. Also, I would suggest watching Death Note, the Abridged Series as it hilariously and lovingly points out major and minor flaws.
See full reviewI found this anime to be enjoyable to watch, although not one I would have been sorry to miss. The ending was not satisfying to me, but the overall story was very well developed and I really found myself enjoying it. Would not watch again, but I am glad I watched it once.
See full reviewThis was one of the first anime I'd ever watched and it was lucky it wasn't the last. The story was somewhat interesting, but horribly confusing and the subject matter, while itself not something I'd shy away from, was handled badly. At the time I was mostly impressed with the stylization but it was the one of the first Eastern style animation I'd ever seen so I have since gotten past that. Overall, not worth watching.
