I have a lot to say about Gatchaman, and i'll make it as spoiler-free as I can, so please hold on tight for this ride!

In the first episode, and maybe the few after it, Hajime seems extremely annoying, she takes the excited anime girl trope and pushes it by so much. Not everyone found her annoying, but I certainly did. This carries on for a little bit, most characters in the series also find her rather annoying. Slowly, you get to know her and you and all the other characters begin to adore her. I have realized, that was an extremely artistic choice that not many notice by the company, this creates deep depth for the characters and allows you to connect with not only the ones who did find her annoying, but her herself.

The entire series Hajime takes on the roll of the leader, though she doesn't verbally say it, there are many situations where she takes it into her own hands to make decisions that others might not have wanted to make.

This series is an absolute masterpiece, having thought out every second of it I am glad I got to live in a world where such a series exists.
