Koudo ni Hattatsushita Igaku wa Mahou to Kubetsu ga Tsukanai

Oct 13, 2023

An impressive doctor isekai. Normally, doctor isekai do surface level things, or never explore the actual realities of being a doctor in another world (lacking suplies,  having to search hard for new things, being under target by the church, or the anatomical differences in species). This manga tackles all of that, which lands it at a 9/10. It is the one and only medical manga I have read to actually take into account the fact that DIFFERENT SPECIES WOULD HAVE DIFFERENT ANATOMIES. The art is very detailed, and overall good. It's definitely not for the squeamish, as it made even me curl my toes at... See full review

I Guess I Became the Mother of the Great Demon King's 10 Children in Another World

Oct 13, 2023

This manga is such a weird blend of good and bad. The plot's the weakest part, as it inherently relies on things the west really dislikes (and for good reason); Pedophelia. No joke. Its something very hard to overlook, considering the MC is only 16... On the other hand, it's got great comedy, and it does nail a few characters rather well. The final arc (no spoilers though) is rather weak, it's not too interesting to me. I came for the humor and stupidity of the plot, but I understand that the plot is natural in progression for the most part (save for the plenty of deus ex machina's through the kids... Chronicles of an Aristocrat Reborn in Another World

Aug 12, 2023

I cannot stand this type of manga. It's incredibly and painfully generic. There's no fun twist, no new and weird art style,  The story is not passable. While I dislike the sexualization and harem-like portrayal of women, It's not the worst thing I've read. It's par for the course, but fails to meet my interests in any way, as it lacks the comedic hilarity that a manga like Eminence in the shadows has, nor does it contain the political depth that youjo senki has. It lacks the character depth of most manga I have read. It just has nothing new, nor interesting to offer me. The art, it's ok. While it... See full review

Elegy of Rose Castle

Jun 6, 2023

A very good manhwa, with deep interactions between each characters.  The story is not fully fleshed out yet, since It's only 21 chapters. However, it has no major flaws that I can see, and is well assembled, in a story that details an emotional struggle with being "reincarnated" (or just possessed?) The art is great, with very well drawn expressions. They truly highlight the flaws with each character, scowls and sorrow are portrayed well. It goes with a somewhat more realistic color pallete, with no bright hair colors. Even blond is portrayed as more muddled, and often times is not the... See full review

My Precious Little Villains

Apr 5, 2023

A very good childcare manhwa! The story is well build, although the pacing does jump around with timeskips sometimes. This does make sense though, and is done in a reasonable way. It does progress in an expected, yet touching way. The way it isn't afraid to let go of characters or change the setting is quite refreshing after reading manhwa where there's never a change in setting midway through. The art is not amazing, but it's better than normal. The details are sometimes lacking on characters' faces, but perhaps that is just my personal opinion. The characters are phenomenal, each one being unique and... See full review

Her Majesty, the Witch

Mar 31, 2023

Personally, I enjoyed this greatly, although I do understand it isn't as good objectively as my subjective ratings. Objectively, it's around an 8.5.  The art was nothing spectacular, although it was still good. It had good scale, no glaring flaws in angles or face layouts. It wasn't overly detailed, nor did it have a very unique style, like Solo Levelling, Roxanne, or other manhwa. It did however have a nice rounded style, in contrast with the ever-sharp normalicy that every other manhwa seems to have. It contributed to the more homely, comfortable storytelling that the Manhwa had.  The story... See full review

The Greatest Estate Developer

Aug 20, 2022

A very good isekai, one with fun and memorable characters, a fun plot, and an interestingly absurd direction in expressions and art. The story is well put together, with the main character needing money because of his father's debt. It focuses on utilizing semi-modern construction and engineering principles in a fantasy-like setting, and uses the main character's drive as both an inspiring and comedically scummy approach. The art is great, being both standard for manhwa while also utilizing such dramatic expressions that you cant help but laugh. The main character's bastard-like expressions, showing... Dr. Choi Giseok Levels Up

Aug 20, 2022

A solid choice for a medical manhwa. The story is (for the most part) realistic, with no extremely uncommon or super wacky medical conditions, it instead tackles more commonly found thingsin medicine, such as drawing blood, or tachychardia. There are a few instances, but they aren't on the level of an intern's imagination (where an intern will, after studying on rare diseases, assume using every symptom listed, instead of treating for more likely common illnesses). The art is great, although that tends to be the case for colored manhwa. It seems to have no real hiccups, although some of the side... See full review

As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World

Aug 19, 2022

Overall, it's not a bad story. It's better than average, although it has some flaws that prevent it from being a masterpiece. The story is a well crafted depiction of a young lord's struggle with wartime strategy and leadership. While it does have its merits, such as a well rounded roster, a realistic and approachable MC, and a well crafted world scenario, there are some flaws to fix. One flaw is the location of the county itself. There seems to be a large amount of inconsistency when it comes to the fiefdom's location, with some maps showing it to be southeast, others being southwest.  The other... See full review

Gimai ni Oshitsukerareta Totsugisaki wa, Norowareta Koushaku Kakka deshita

Aug 16, 2022

As of right now, there are only 5 chapters, but it's still worth reading. (Light spoilers) Overall, there aren't any issues i can find with the manga's story, it's your classic "beauty and the beast" scenario you find with manhwa like Beauty And The Beast Girl. There's a slight comedic sense to Miltia's antics, due to her being unfazed and even jealous of the duke's curse (which makes him infinitely create seafood using his body). Although there is a bit of an issue with chapter 3 or 4, with the letter being disregarded, that's the only insance of a plot error i can find. It may not even be... See full review

The Great Queen Victoria Winner Ostwen Has Arrived!

Aug 16, 2022

The story is lacking, but the art and characters are amazingly crafted. The story revolves around a powerful and cunning Queen Consort (the wife of a ruling queen, married into the royal family), and a puppy-like, foolish king. While the plot lacks tension and suspense, with no real surprise as to the Queen's success in her plans, there's more emphasis on the comedic, over the top nature of her successes. That is to say, it's more about the absurd process, rather than an uncertain outcome. It isnt very accurate to a real monarchy or aristocratic setting, but because the manga isn't meant to focus on the... See full review

Long After the Ending

Aug 16, 2022

A very good romance set with 2 people stuck dealing with a strict, judgemental society. On one hand, we have a female lead who is seen as a "Casanova", but instead of the societal opinion just rejected an arranged marriage and dated a lot to try and find someone who wasn't a crappy guy. One the other, we have a male lead who is seen as a beefy, guarded man who is actually a big shy softie, dealing with the emotional damage that his crush left him with. The plot revolves around these two stubborn characters, and is amusing with how bold the female lead is, and how shy and clumsy the male lead... See full review

Watashi no Onaka no Sekinin Totte!

Jun 25, 2022

Overall, if you ignore the story's message, it's a perfectly fine yuri manga. It's quite cute, but the biggest issue is with the reinforcement of the Fatphobic community of japan. The girl is stated to be "fat" when she is approximately 54 kilograms. That's 120 pounds. That's a perfectly fine weight to be at, and the social construct of japan is incredibly unhealthy for promoting stick figure models. This issue is very present in the manga, and while i can still read it fine, i do think that it subtracts from the story's quality. Other than that, the chaecaters are great, i love the dynamic of... Nyako to Hakase

Jun 18, 2022

An amazing Iyashikei about a scientist and her cute cat maid. It's incredibly cute, with most of the story revolving around the maid's cat-like tendencies, or the bonding of the two girls. While some may dislike the story for being padded or filler-like, that's more-so the genre's purpose; being about cute and mundand things done cutely. In that aspect, this story does that amazingly well, although it is tragically short. It's mostly invigorated by the art, as the style is exceptional and emphasizes the "moe-ness" of the characters. Especially how smushy and short the cat maid is, which gives... See full review

Reiko no Fuugi: Akuyaku Reijou to Yobarete Imasu ga, tada no Binbou Musume Desu

Jun 18, 2022

A very good Slice Of Life about a poor girl finding her meal ticket by joining an academy, and being branded as a villainess by a delusional girl. It mainly is a slow, slice of life / iyashikei style manga, with a unique twist of having it being a modern Otome setting, with an antagonist that seems more delusional and compulsive. The majority of the content revolves around the MC's frugal lifestyle, and her interactions with the main cast in the academy. While she is characterized by her frugality and passive nature, I find it fun that she uses her experience with family dementia in order to rationalize... See full review

Jun 1, 2022

Overall, it's a very solid manhwa, and personally it's one of my favorites. For the sake of objectivity, i decided to analyze it further, and it's not perfect, but it's still very enjoyable. Story: 8/10 The story is somewhat fast paced with a single plot hole that confused some other reviewers, which i will try to explain. The FMC became "aware" that she was in a game, and as such now has knowledge and access to items, an inventory, and character stats. While it never explains why she was able to, since she's just a minor character, i believe that a better way to put it is that she became... See full review

Re:Monster

May 15, 2022

(spoiler warning) This manga starts off great, with a gruesome and somewhat edgy story about a man being reincarnated as a goblin. It also features him evolving, which is a nice detail to have in a fantasy story. I love when characters go through progressions that aren't seen as overly Deus Ex Machina-esque, instead having them change out of combat. Another big bonus to the story is how the MC loses his humanity, becoming more brutal and orcish from the get go. This is a nice touch as it no longer has the MC restrained by morals simply because he thinks it's good or bad, he becomes much more logical and... See full review

Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs

Apr 14, 2022

This story revolves around a japanese office worker being reincarnated into a matriarchal Otome Game. For the story, i have a few problems. It has a decent overall story, but often I feel like the original framework, that women are socially dominant, is lost. Take the queen, or the duke's daughter; they aren't portrayed as strong characters, they aren't socially dominant, and often are disrespected by men in the story. It honestly feels like the story just wants to have a bunch of rude, horrible women in it. At the same time, Maids still exist as low social workers. Wouldn't there be butlers instead... Rescue System

Apr 11, 2022

A very good concept and execution overall. The story revolves around a regressed firefighter, meaning his mind is sent back in time, and he gets an rpg like levelling system to help him! The story is solid, it's over the top and revolves around the MC's guilty desperation to save those he couldn't, and the firefighter academy's strict guide ruling. While it has a few hiccups, like how he managed to get away with certain purchases of materials (if you know, you know), but that's about it. It rates so highly because it's a remix of a used concept, but in an unexpected way, using reality as a base... See full review

My Civil Servant Life Reborn in the Strange World

Mar 25, 2022

It's definitely not as bad as the other 2 comments are saying, but if you're bugged by the story, I completely understand. This manhwa revolves around a young man, obsessed with becoming a civil servant at his mother's last request, isekai'ing into a fantasy world. While the characters lack some depth, it's still somewhat interesting with the MC being tied to his past life's goals with an incredibly idiotic and funny stubbornness. The art is ok, it's lower quality when compared with other manhwa, but is much better than most Manhua (which often have a lack of artistic quality). It's somewhat basic, and... See full review

Cheat Skill "Shisha Sosei" ga Kakusei Shite, Inishie no Maougun wo Fukkatsu Sasete Shimaimashita: Daremo Shinasenai Saikyou Healer

Mar 13, 2022

This story starts off with a decent premise, but quickly drops the ball and crashes down a flight of stairs. The characters are bland, none of them feel like they have any personality other than a single word description. They talk in a way that nobody would, they give very blatant expository lines that dont apply in context. Most of the characters have no defined motivations, no goals, or personality. The MC bothers me the most. He is confronted directly by one of the teammates that betrayed him, And he doesnt even feel a single emotion. He's not that sort of character to do that. In the very beginning... See full review

Goodbye, Dragon Life

Feb 26, 2022

A slightly better than average manga,  But i would like to point this out ; THIS MANGA IS NOT A HAREM MANGA. There is only 1 love interest as of chapter 62. Maybe there will be more in the future, but as of right now I cant see how this is a harem manga. There are multiple female characters revolving around a single male main character, but that isn't a harem. A harem is when all the girls are romantically attracted to him., which most aren't. I can only see 1 character that is in love. Other than thar, it's a very good story, although it has a few hiccups in terms of art. The characters are a bit... See full review

Feb 21, 2022

It's a great story, it has fun characters with a somewhat generic MC to still give it a bit of relatability.  The story is nice, using a theme that i can only describe as "fantasy is real, dude" or "no, that's not a myth, that happened" The only complaint i have is the art. Most of the time, it's fine. The faces are normally ok, the magic and effects are good. The biggest issue is character posing. I have seen a lot that the poses look super stiffm it's hard to describe, but it feels like the arms are often drawn in straight lines, or drawn flatly. Like an action figure that can... Feb 20, 2022

A very good story depicting the societal divide between villains and psykers.  While focusing on action, it has its fair share of moments that show that society at large stereotypes villains as evil maniacs, when in reality they're more akin to hyper-obsessive idiots. Screwdriver stealing electronics from everyone in Vilzone, Cassian being brutal to those who keep hostages, Cleaner obsessing with cleaning. There are numerous instances that show that villains are not evil, they're a broad category of people, and each one has their own unique motives and desires. It has very good action sequences, and... Feb 11, 2022

As a big fan of modern fantasy and reincarnation stories, this is probably one of the better ones. Manhwa tend to have a good track record, but there are still some that are lackluster. The character interactions are funny, i like how the gods seem much more "mortal" in their interactions, like Tiamat's kid being very naive and stupis outside of martial arts and weaponry, Or how Jormungandr is lazy, and mephistopheles mocks others with their silence. The gods have a much more interesting personality comapred to other constellation-esque manhwa, And although the story is a bit bland, with it... See full review

Feb 9, 2022

Personally, I love this manga. The plot is better than average in execution, the art is slightly better than the average mainstream Manhwa, and the characters are incredibly fun and interesting in their dynamics. The only reason i can see for someone to not like this manhwa is because of the original Author, Latine, who is known for her violent, islamophobic, and racist tweets. Personally, I separate the artist and artwork, so I'm personally OK with reading the manga.

Feb 6, 2022

It's a fairly average manga, but has some good points to it. It does fumble genres a bit, being somewhat of a Slow Life manga at parts while also having some action and rpg elements tossed in. It's got some funny jokes in it, but cant get a better score due to the MC. She's fine in almost every aspect, except for 1. Her abilities. Now, most good manga or manhwa with op MCs tend to follow 3 trends: 1. The MC earn their abilities, like in Solo Levelling or The Sorcerer King,  2. The story and art escalates the fighting to an extreme level, like in Dragon Ball Z and One Punch Man, 3. Focuses more... See full review

Suki na Koto Sasetekureru Onnanoko no Manga

Dec 22, 2021

A pretty short and good story, a shame it got dropped. It's got a cute plot about a man given happiness through a hostess forcing him to quit his job at a terrible black company. The plot is sweet and simple, with a cute romcom type genre, although it has some more mature themes like the hostess bar and the black company. The art is a better than average, but not enough to shock anyone. The character's interactions are the highlight of this manga. It's focused on the dichotomy yet similarity of the two characters. Overall, i'd rate it a 7.5/10.

An incredibly good, medium-short length yuri manga. It has really fun charcaters, while not having them come off as extremely off putting and stand-offish. There's a straight laced girl and a dumb girl, a typical Manzai (straight man and funny man) routine. The girls are very likeable, and tend to have good charcaterization and humor throughout. Wakatsuki, the Funny one, is a sweet hearted idiot. She makes constant mistakes, and cant seem to do anything she wants to right, and is generally clueless when it comes to love. A better than average manga that got cut short, despite having so much potential. The story is good, being that most people in it are socially focused on competetive gaming to determine hierarchy. The art is ok, not amazing but it is better than the generic copy laste style some anime use. the characters are a bit annoying but it was a fun concept and the brother-sister relationship's mystery made me really want more. It's a really big shame that it won't ever be finished, though, as the author died. RIP.
