Fun to watch, but I kind of don't understand the point?

The film itself was good; I didn't understand some of the changes. I know a lot of people that didn't appreciate how watered down the minor characters like Orange-kun and Euphie became. I also didn't understand the point of completely cutting characters like Mao. The only thing I really did kind of enjoy regarding characters was the subtly includion of Marrybell and Julia in the royal Britannian family...

I know there's only so much you can do to take 10 - 20 episodes and compress them into a 2 hour film, but... why bother in the first place? The anime was perfect, even with it's flaws. The redubbing and new scenes were kind of a treat. You know what else would have been kind of a treat?

Just starting R3 already.
