Princess Iron Fan is a 1940s mythological anime set in Ancient China with features characters from the Journey of the West. 

Warning: If you’re sensitive to light, this show has a lot of flashing scenes. The anime uses a black and white monochromatic color schemes. Since the anime was produced in the 1940s, the quality isn't the best which is understandable. The animation is inconsistent too. 

Princess Iron Tale is a tale full of michievous, sly, clever, crafty, witty, and cunning characters. The Monkey King, and his team asked a woman for a special iron fan that can quench flames. However, the sly and cunning woman deceives the Monkey King. She gives him a fake fan. Then the pig disguises himself as her husband to trick the woman back for the iron fan. He is later punished by her real husband. 

I don't recommend watching this anime again. So I wrote this review as a reminder of a very underrated, unpopular, and underappreciated anime.
