This show is a trainwreck for a number of reasons. 

Firstly, all the fanservice and boobs jokes have an extreme ick factor. The main protagonist is TWELVE YEARS OLD and another recurring child character who falls victim to this is only TEN. There's even a bizarre lesbian pedophile who collects girls and wants to add the 12 year-old to her harem. The whole thing is seriously gross, but the sexual objectification of children is only one of the show's many problems.

The storytelling is extremely sloppy for one thing; problems are often solved via ass pulls, misplaced humor ruins what should be more somber scenes, and the MC needs a good hard spanking for acting like a complete idiot at times (which is bizarre considering she is actually quite bright). I can only hope the light novels and manga do a better job constructing a story, because this series sucks at it. To add to my disappointment, the world only starts getting interesting in the last two episodes just as the show is about to wrap up. (Apparently, this medieval-style land in which they live once had a high-tech civilization back in ancient times. You see ruins with pictures of airplanes and space stations. Why couldn't we get an episode learning about THAT instead of scenes about Mile's former classmates from a school she attended before the shows even starts, or a garbage episode of Mile awkwardly forcing her friends into bathing suits?)

Another big problem here is the fact that "Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!" seems to have difficulty deciding what kind of show it wants to be. It's not a serious fantasy, it's not a comedy, and it's not a fanservice show, but it sways back and forth between those lanes like an intoxicated driver swerving back and forth on the highway with similar results: a drunken disaster fuck leaving everyone disoriented and confused. Instead of a fun fantasy, this show felt like brain rot - a complete waste of my time.

My last complaint involves the animation. There were some wonky scenes, like one where the girls are walking slowly but the background is moving much faster. Looked awkward as hell.

If you want to watch a child protagonist isekai fantasy done right, I'd suggest watching "Ascendance of a Bookworm". A much better series by far. And if you want fanservice just watch an actual fanservice show. "Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!" doesn't mix elements well, and whether you're looking for trashy or treasures, there's better shit out there in either case.

Positives: Nice character designs, and each of the four girls has a distinct personality and clear backstory that explains their motivations. The actual world also has a lot of potential for exploration, the ancient civilization is something I want to know more about.

Negatives: Most of show's overall potential is untapped, we get a big world that we learn very little about except for the ways in which it mirrors every other generic fantasy anime. Mile is extremely annoying a lot of the time which ruined a lot of scenes for me. Resolutions through cheap ass-pulls was also a huge turn off, along with the cringy fanservice. Wonky animation didn't do the show any favors, either.

Rating: Two and a half stars. Completely average, which Mile would probably approve of, but that rating might be overly generous.
