Iyashikei Anime

Iyashikei is a uniquely Japanese sub-genre of anime that is designed to have a “healing” effect on viewers. The mellow atmosphere is usually accompanied by a soothing soundtrack and often contains rural landscapes and gorgeous backgrounds. Iyashikei shows often take place in the peaceful countryside, but they can also take place in other common locations like a home, workplace or school. This type of anime generally lacks a large, overarching plot, favoring very mild drama and subtle character growth.

Love this list! Some great shows to watch and you've also helped me greatly in trying to sort of some shows in my collection. Now I have a whole new section to begin :D

Not sure these would qualify but I'll be putting them into my section at least - Haibane Renmei, Silver Spoon, Hanasaku Iroha? another could be Kurogane Communication though might be abit of a stretch.
