Doh I noticed you dropped Gungrave! Don't be put off by that first terrible episode. That first episode is a glimpse from near the very end of the series. Everytihng that leads up to that first episode is absolutely amazing. Although the ending was a flop, the majority of the series makes up for it.
Kinda like how Bereserk is completely awesome all the way till the very ending.
