I had really really high hopes about the "second" series of Naruto

If you read my review about the "original" naruto series you should be well aware about what made me like Naruto in the first place...

The parts I liked

That was seeing how much everyone had changed including my series favorites: Neji, Hinata, Ino and Shikamaru, and everything between the intro to Pain and his fight with Jiraiya to where we discover Naruto gets a lot of his mannerisms from his mom I liked that stuff too, and his father being the fourth was confirmed as well... basically anything dealing with Naruto's past was cool. Naruto Uzamaki had changed too he wasn't annoying like in the first series he was calmer and grown up, Sasuke and Itachi's fight was superb, I wish Itachi would've survived that fight though (I know he's back but that feels like a cop out)

The parts I didn't like
Where oh where do I begin, well it's just that is has CHARACTERS I DO NOT CARE FOR, and the fact that the original cast only showed up every now and then, this is just a deal breaker for me to continue watching this,

I liked pretty much everything Naruto had to offer,I eventually stopped watching and reading because of the new characters (looking at you Sai, Yamato and Danzo, and everyone else introduced duriing the Kage meeting and afterwards)

I know I said I don't read manga, but I was really into Naruto and I had heard that the manga was way ahead of the anime so I read on to discover what was going down and then preferred to read the manga instead of watching the anime because of how far ahead it got at one point. I liked this series for a time, then enter the new character syndrome where it feels like Pokemon's character/pokemon of the day type of deal where the show would introduce us to a new character/pokemon in each episode and showcase them off in some form or fashion, Naruto did this except kept the characters around

The timeline of what I have seen

I watched the first 30 or so episodes and stopped because I was getting burnt out on anime for a bit (enter The World God Only Knows which brings me right back into liking anime) and when i tried getting back into Naruto it was after the events of Shikamaru taking up smoking, and it was cool for bit all the way up until Sasuke's fight with Itachi, I thought that was long over do, and the stuff with Naruto's parents and Jiraiya was fricken awesome too.

All in All

I can stomach this series, but I am not in any frame of mind a fan of this series any longer it changed way too much for me to like anymore, it should have been a bit more self contained and it feels like it's trying to do way too much all at once it feels cluttered.

I don't hate anyone for liking this show either, I like shows I know people don't care for, heck here's something off hand you guys can make fun of me for if you feel pretty strongly about Naruto: Shippuuden; I like Dragon Age II one of more hated games put out by Bioware and EA haha

I might check out the series again when it nears its end because Naruto the entire seires as a whole has meant alot to me since I was 14 or 15 years old when I first heard about it

Also the anime cluttered with filler during the main arcs D:

4/10 story
4/10 animation
6/10 sound
3/10 characters
4.3/10 overall

Not relatable at all

I find it funny that you gave Naruto Shippuden such a lowly rating, but mainly had good things to say about the series. Why is that?

Well I agree with you in a way, however you are basing this 25 episodes in. I felt that the whole saga with the akatsuki that was never really picked up on in part 1 was really great and the thrilling fights between akatsuki and the leaf ninja later on are what made it worth waiting for if you can get over all the fillers and slow start that is.

One of the things that made me drop Naruto Shippuden were the fillers-- seasons and seasons of fillers; especially terrible when they repeat the same story arc: "I was alone, but now I have friends, and I will fight to protect them." Cool at first, but you can only repeat that so many times before it starts to get old.

hum, I get what you mean. I loved the same things you pointed out but yes, this is getting annoying. And all the fillers just piss me off.
