AlexArmstrong says...  Thanks for replying so fast and thanks for suggesting some anime :D i cant believe i didnt put code geass on my wtw list >< altough im not really attracted to sports and space genres, i might give these ones a go (though it would take some time, because i prioritize animes like gurren lagann :p). i also looked at your list of 'currently watching', how much anime do you watch a week/day and how can you choose between so much 0_o?   Have a nice day!   PS i may not be able to reply to messages this week, because im on vacation. it depends on the wi-fi :p

\r\n

Ah, the world of wi-fi.  I am new to it myself, having only recently having gotten my first laptop, and having only a limited data option on my phone...  but it is fast becoming the standard and the norm rather than something exotic and I think I will be doing a lot more stuff on wi-fi in future...  and you will be finding a lot more places it is avaialble as well!

\r\n

As I mentioned previously, I hope I didn't disappoint with my suggestions, but I wanted to throw out a wider variety of options, and maybe throw some suggestions out to you that you wouldn't ordinarily have otherwise considered.

\r\n

Geass really -is- worth the watch, despite the length and plot pacing problems...  One of those anime titles almost everyone should watch.

\r\n

About my currently watching/anime in progress: I often like to watch with other people, and so many of the anime I have "in progress" are ones I am watching with my real life anime groups or my friends.  The one problem with watching with other folks, though, is that you have to coordinate schedules and they aren't always available to watch when you would want to watch... so those titles take a lot longer to complete than if I was watching them on my own.

\r\n

(For instance, the titles I watch with my RL anime clubs take super long because they only meet once a month, and we only watch an episode or two at each meeting of a lot of different shows...  so that means these shows stay on my list in Watching status for a LONG time!)

\r\n

I don't tend to watch much television, I watch anime instead!  So I'm hopeless if you try to talk to me about TV shows, especially current shows airing.  And I'm lucky that a friend works the late shift, so right after I finish updating my WECO assignment sheets at midnite each day, I can watch anime with him while he has his supper!  So I watch usually at least two to four episodes of something anime every day most days (Right now we are watching D. Gray Man and Hunter x Hunter together).  More if I can find additional time on my own to watch!

OK, NOW I'll take a look at your list and give some recommendations that aren't yet on your list.  I sure hope these suggestions don't disappoint you after all the talking at you I've been doing! (Not all are shouenen genre).  So some quick suggestions after looking at your list:

\r\n

Black Lagoon - I haven't yet seen it but a trusted friend keeps highly recommending to me and I thought it might be something you'd be interested in checking out as well.  On my Want to Watch list!

\r\n

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion / Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 - I know, I know, you said you don't want to start something that is "epic in length" and these titles, especially together, do just that.  But worth a watch if you can get past the middle where it gets stuck in a "mecha battle of the day" rut for a little while

\r\n

Kuroko's Basketball - have you ever considered a sports anime?  They tend to be better than you'd think they'd be, more involving!  And this basketball anime title just gets better every season, each season better than the last, but the opening season isn't bad in itself!!!

\r\n

Sidonia no Kishi - are you into space operas at all?  I just finished both seasons out so far of this, and I enjoyed it!

\r\n

Trigun - this action/adventure has comedy and a darker/more serious understory, with a loveable goofball of a hero in Vash the Stampede

\r\n

Please feel free to check these out to see if there's any that interest you and if you decide to watch any of them, please let me know what you think and whether or not you enjoyed them.
