Cat Soup

Cat Soup is what happens when a Japanese director takes the stories of Hansel & Gretel, Orpheus in the Underworld and Noah's Flood, mashes them together and makes the protagonists cats. It's not certain whether they're dead or alive, so Schrödinger may be involved somehow too. It was a strange little show, but entertaining to look at.

K: Seven Stories Movie 5 - Memory of Red ~BURN~

As this is a prequel film, mild spoiler warning for those who have not seen K Project. You have been warned. This film is a welcome addition to the K franchise, filling in the background story of Totsuka Tatara which sets the stage for the events of K. This story is something that I sorely missed from the original- as you come into it after Totsuka is already gone and are kinda left wondering who this guy was. Run with the Wind

It's a testament to how good it is that Run With the Wind is one of the few sports anime I've actually finished. With its character-driven story and focus on how individuals, each with their own unique personalities and struggles can come together as a team and achieve something inspiring, it has a wider appeal than your typical underdog play-to-win team-spirit sports anime. The coming-of-age aspect of the show was really nice- I appreciate character growth more than anything else, but the setting has to be appealing too, and it was handled pretty well through running.
