Spoiler free: I just hit episode 10 and I realized I hate the show and stopped. What's going on? Why? Nothing makes any sense. And unlike goofy stuff like Gintama or JoJo, it's not even comedy or purposeful nonsense, it's just impossible to follow. After 9 episodes I have no idea who the major players are, what the mechanics or purpose of the character and elements are. I should have read the other reviews before trying this.
See full reviewOther world. Have to save the world by having sex with 12 different girls who represent every classic meme/trope. It's forced, exhausting and insulting. Despite all that it might be watchable if not for the obnoxious and hateable mascot character who is there to remind us every 30 seconds or so that we should be thinking about sex now. Ding. Sex! Hey! Sex. Not that it shows any sex so it even fails if that's what you came for - just obnoxious BS. If your standards are really, really low, you might be able to enjoy this, but otherwise there are plenty of other anime that are much, much better.
See full reviewI'm going to give this anime a 2.5 because I watched the OP and 15 seconds before dropping it like a hot iron and I don't think it's fair to score lower when I've seen essentially none of it. Once I saw that the same cringy and janky animation used in the OP was how the whole show was made, I couldn't watch any more. Basically you have floaty-looking plastic characters who sway as if the animators were paid by how much flaggelation there was on screen. It's something you might put up with in various cutscenes of games that were brief and nestled between sets of solid gameplay, but watching a whole anime... See full review
I noticed Zero Louise is a recommendation related to this anime. That's quite appropriate because if you have a fetish for watching the MC be abused constantly via one-sided misunderstanding and abuse presented as if it were comedy, then you'd like both. This show is just like Louise other than a lot of unnecessary ecchi which, again, is something you don't find distracting, lazy, and unnecessary in an anime might not bother you. For me, this show is a joke. A bad one.
See full reviewI'll try to keep this fairly spoiler free, but I didn't care about the show nearly enough to put in the usual effort. This show was made for little girls and feels like it. Very smarmy themes, saving little push creatures from bad guys, overcoming your fears with friendship and dancing. The story was ham-fisted with one key scene being so out-of-world fake I nearly turned it off. It's better total quality than your average little kids show I suppose, but this barely belongs in the isekai genre and fits quite a bit better into the idol genre with a touch of magical girl. It's syrupy sappy sweetness with... See full review
This is, as simple as it gets, a basic, tropey, unimaginative harem show. I ended up watching this before it's prequel which I imagine is exactly the same (particularly given all the flashbacks). There's little to no character development thought the various abilities of the characters was at least somewhat interesting and I was at least a little curious what the main plot mystery was, but the final episode doubled down on the dumb making me regret having watched it at all. If you want to see "Ecchi supa-attaku finisher", have at it, but don't say I didn't warn you.
See full reviewPut simply, if you like shows that have weird nonsense scenes, action, and zero transitions from one scene to the next like Mawaru Penguindrum or FLCL, you would probably like this show too. The SPOILER FREE version is that the characters accidentally find something magical and get drafted into helping said magical something, but there's a lot of anus stuff (yes, I said anus), dancing for some reason, and no one in the show has a natural or believable response to almost anything that's going on. I didn't watch enough of it to give more, but the speed with which the show changed scenes, perspectives, moods... See full review
It's cute I guess, but holy hell does it get boring in a hurry. Every situation is set up the same way with smug girl teasing the boy and the boy doing everything he can to not be teased (which makes it easier for her to do). It's pretty clear early on that she actually likes him, but so what? They're too young for it to be a relatable or believable love story, though even if he did start to like her, it would feel like Stockholm sydrome given that she's basically bullying him and has no actual personality or redeeming features that showed in the first few episodes. Maybe there's more substance later, but... See full review
This is the Kidz Bop of Anime. It's just like the show you like, but so much worse. The plot is unbearably predictable and the characters exceedingly one-dimensional. For some reason, some characters seem to only be able to speak by yelling. As I write this, I'm getting angrier that I spent my time on it. If you've ever seen Attack on Titan, steer clear. If you've never seen anything in this vein before, steer clear anyway and go watch Attack on Titan.
See full reviewI saw a gif online that looked funny so I gave it a shot. In the first episode, you get the entire premise: "cruelty = comedy". Basically the main character is a complete punching bag crying about how badly he's treated by others and the world. He goes around with a total Sadist for some reason who is constantly abusing him in unfunny ways. And there's a loli for no reason. That's the series. Enjoy.
