My reply is going to be pretty lengthy, so apologies in advance lol.

I really love Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle as well, but I also really like Kiki's Delivery Service, and Ponyo. I did think Arriety (if I'm spelling that right lol) was ok, but I did not like the ending.

Ironically, my daughter was showing me all these different trailers on Youtube for Studio Ghibli movies, and anime movies in general, last night, and was going on and on about A Silent Voice. We haven't watched it yet together, (she's already seen it) but she really wants me to watch it with her, so one of these nights we plan on doing that.

According to her, Graveyard of the Fireflies is extremely sad, and that I'll "need to be breakin' out the tissues!" (In my daughter's wording lol.) Same with A Silent Voice.

We recently got Netflix, so she's been showing me all these different anime's and movies, etc. We really love Netflix so far, and we recently got done with a japanese show on there called Dad of Light. We both cried over that one, but the ending was awesome. She wants to watch Korean and Chinese shows with me too.

Hello, and thank you for the follow back.

I think it's awesome that you have a dad that takes an interest in YOUR interests and likes.

I do the same for my daughter, to let her know that she's such a huge part of my life, and my best friend.

We're with each other every day, but she gets busy, I get busy, so I love having mother-daughter time. (Which is usually in the evening.)

Thus I was interested more in anime. She had me read some books, which I really liked. And it grew from there, so we began watching stuff like different anime movies and what not.

And now I just get so excited for when evening comes, and it's our time to "anime" it lol.

oh thats so interresting your view on tanjiro, i totally agree with it but i primerily saw him as a character that embodies patience. working hard to break the stone, being a mediator in the trio, being willing to work for a cure for nezuko instead of trying to find a quick fix and his training at shinobu's are all great moments that shows how remarkably patient and level headed he can be.

going back to endevour i don't think i'll ever like him but i can respect the way he's developing. yes he's reconsiling for his family and trying to improve his image for his fans but the things he has done will never go away. it makes him a fleshed out and real character and i like that about him but there will always be what he has done looming over him and i just can't come to say i like him... respect yes but like ehhh...

villain wise my favourate so far has been gentle criminal, but out of the league i like mr. compress, twice and kurogiri so far the other's arnt bad but for me i'd like to see a little more from them before i make a proper judgement

i hope you like danmachi when you get round to it :D

Lol yeah if you're ever in need of video game recs, you know who to talk to then. XD Part of me wants to say the Nintendo Switch, but the PS2 and N64 I have extremely fond childhood memories of, so...

I heard that a lot too, which makes me sad. I wish more people would give video games a chance instead of putting them down. :( I can understand for some, but anyway, moving on otherwise I'll be rambling about JUST that. ^^;

Ironically I've been working on my novels for the past 5 years as well. Haven't continued in a long time though, due to life stuff and being into other thing, etc, though I'd like to continue one day. :)

The first one is fantasy, the second I would probably classify as "modern fantasy" and the 3rd I have no idea what I'd call it genre wise, since even though it's not fantasy, it's like a random mix of several different genre's lol. (I won't say huge spoilers, but the third one is basically about a Goth guy who takes care of his Autistic sister, since their dad is abusive and the mother is in major denial of the daughter's diagnosis, and won't listen to her son on how to help.)

I wish that I could test older ones, but since that's not a thing anymore, (at least not that I know of) I guess Fantasy? I'm not that great at describing genre's, so what may be Fantasy to me, may be something entirely different to somebody else or vice-versa. ^^;

I'm hoping after COVID is over with that I can find an OT that's not afraid of all my diagnosis' or my age. I haven't been able to get services ever since I was 11. (Extremely long story short, I had to move during that time, so I had to sadly quit services.)  Before COVID, all the local centers (for lack of a better term) either have extremely weird hours and thus it  was hard trying to get a possible appointment, or therapists are too scared/intimidated of my age & all my diagnosis'. I think everyone should have a right to get therapy if they need to, no matter their age or diagnosis.

Anyway, no worries. :) Sometimes it takes me awhile to respond as well.

oh i also really like my hero academia it think people give it too much critisism because of a select few fans which is a shame cause it develops really well and has characters that are written well, and its not only characters your supposed to like either for example endevour is a character i don't like but i full achnowledge that by the end of the lastest season i had to admit he was written well.

demon slayer is a solid choice i watched it recently not one of ally all time faves but its a respectable series i like shinobu and tamayo a lot, and inosuke towards the end.

hmm but what to say about danmachi... well i like the world it builds up for itself how it forms its leveling system, how adventurers gain abilities and the psycology of the characters. they incorporate the gods very well and they all have pretty distinctive personalities that tie in their history from their real mythological counterparts. and there are good characters all round, of course there are some bad characters sprinkled and there are a few ecchi scenes that slow down the pace a little bit but there isnt a perfect show
