I’m actually very curious about how it’s going to go. ^^
You know, now that we’re talking about the cast. I remember that A LOT of people were/are hating on Jiang Cheng’s character. I don’t understand why o_o Yes, he made A LOT of mistakes but that dude might have been the most complex one of them all. Y’all need to look past his mistakes. 😭 Wei Wuxian never once hated him, and there’s a reason for that. He’s not on my list of favorite characters, but darn I can’t stand anyone hating him.
I agree! I also prefer the Yiling Patriarch in the anime, but only regarding how powerful he was there. And yes.. We all saw his fall coming but it broke our hearts nevertheless. Although, the drama didn’t show his power to its full extent, I still loved what they managed to do with the limitations they had. Besides that, I think it’s the result of how Xiao Zhan portrayed the role. To me, the thing that caught my eye was not Wei Wuxian’s will to take revenge, but the pain that he was feeling even though he tried so hard to hide it behind a façade. There were many moments that Wei Wuxian got angry in the drama but all I could see was in how much pain he was. Freaking broke my heart e v e r y t i m e. I think they might have decided to go that way due to the limitations. Nonetheless, the Wei Wuxian from the drama was still badass. Ah man, Xiao Zhan did such a wonderful job.
You’re not alone! The drama confused the heck out of me at first. I was like “What is happening????’ during the first couple of episodes. x’D And I didn’t know there were other versions at that time, so I just kept watching. xD
unfortunatly for me im an anime only watcher at the moment so i've not seen a lot of shigaraki, i had a feeling his character could get really good later on if he was used well and it sounds like he is so i'm looking forward to that for sure! i haven't seen it i can't find it anywere dubbed which makes me sad oh well i have to make like tanjiro and be patient. i wasn't too keen on overhaul on the whole, his quirk was good and i enjoyed the whole yakuza motief but he seemed like a kid throwing a tantrum and without his close collegues i feel like his cover would have been blown waaay sooner and his progress wouldn't be as far... thats just me though. one character that i think is underutilized and has potentual to be awsome is gran torino, he's been a mentor for both all might and deku so close ties there, he knows about nana and the threat of all for one, he also knows of recovery girl meaning he has multiple ties to current UA staff and police. i kinda wanna see him interact with principal nezu.
oh and i know its sorta died down a bit lately but the UA traitor is an interresting idea that i hope gets a conclusion, don't spoil me if there revealed in the manga but i love talking about that whole theory
