Read if you want:

• A fatherlike MC who isn't dumb but tries to do the right thing and a supporting cast of interesting likable characters
• An exploration of a dark and twisted world, and what exactly happened to turn it this way.
• An OP MC being OP while trying to be lowkey (and not immediately failing).

The story so far is great; it is slow paced, but the world building is amazing and each arc reveals more about the culture of the world. The arcs slowly build up the villain and have an excellent catharsis from the subjugation, allowing for the characters to interact with each other and the world. Over the course of the story the MC becomes stronger than his previous self due to his want to learn more about the world he may or may not be stuck in. 

The MC always has a clear goal, and tries his best to help the world around him without doing anything drastic. Everyone in the supporting cast is unique with their own lovable personality and you can see the ones in the limelight grow over the course of the series as they're met with difficult choices. Their relationship towards the MC can be thought to be similar to the relationship between a daughter and father, which allows for a lot of wholesome teaching moments. 

The art is okay. Only gripe I have with it would be early on, the characters are not as detailed as one would hope, but the issues get fixed later on in the story. 

Overall, read the story if you like good-natured OP MC's and like stable world building.
