I finished You At First Sight / Girl's Cult and I definatly got hooked on it so I read both the first and second part of the story. I loved it~ I absolutely love the cast the characters your meant to dislike are written so they are disliked but not to the degree were there stereotypically bad , they had a lot of depth to them. there were one or two mysteries that had me on edge. it had maybe 1 or two tiny spots were it felt a little slow but a lot of series get that. but the main thing I love so much in the series is the protagonist Yechan! thank you to my secret santa who recommended me this series for the 2020 secret santa event .now for the break down

story:

it develops themes that are present in the first half very well deliving into the signuficance of the events and how they affect who they are effecting. there are definatly more then one moment were i felt shocked and it does a good job at grasping and holding onto those feelings of unease. if your a fan of "omg they really did that" moments it has those for sure. another good point that this series has is balancing out the previously mentioned shock factor moments with calm, peaceful or.... "fluffy" moments.

art:

umm I don't particularly take much note in this catagory especially when its a story about character interaction instead of action or romance so it may be better if look at someone elses review for this buuuuuuut i do thing they play around with the expessions very well with the different faces depending on the perspective we are looking at. otherwise i wouldn't say the art is bad at all it is drawn in a cutsey style which I enjoy and its not the the degree of every character being classed as a "moe blob" that i know can turn people off.

characters:

in my opinion this is were the series shines! each character feels like there fleshed out and have unique aspects too, not every character is written in a way to make you like them... in fact your views on one character may change significanlty throughout the series. my personal favourate character in this series is Yechan, the way she develops within herself is shown very well and her interactions with other people indicate these changes as you read more and more.
