LoL, when it's a good show you won't feel how many episodes it has, it really depends on the story, I"m sure you'll end up bing watching some arcs once you pass the first dreadful 30 episodes (as I mention, somehow necessary for the character's backgrounds). You can also skip the fillers if you don't find them interesting. I may create a watching guide next time I watch the whole series.

I've been waiting for the sequel to Blame, it was announced a while ago but it's still in development. They finally released the Ressurection of Lelouch, which I've been waiting for years too, so I'll be watching that soon, Alicization just finished the season, so I'll be starting that soon too. I'm currently watching Psycho-Pass 3. I haven't watched My Hero Academia, I'll start after S4 finishes to avoid cliffhangers. I want to watch the remake of Blade of the Inmortal, the movie was ok, but I have high hopes for the new show. I'm excited for the remake of Akira, as I think this will have the full story, the movie only has chapter 1 and 6 of the manga (the last one), so a lot of the good stuff was omitted, this has potential to be the best series of the year if done properly. Although I'm not fond of the CGI for Ghost in the Shell, I hope the story is still worth the brand. And finally, I'm desperately waiting for the final season of Attack on Titan (although I wish it keep going with a prequel or something).

My major dream in anime is that Berserk one day will receive a proper remake, worthy of the manga art and that the author will finish the story someday!

Merry Christmas 00Venenum00!

Yes, you have to make your own mind about what you like and why. After watching different shows in many genres and subjects, I believe they actually help me keep an open mind and I have learned a lot because of it, I have found lots of gems where I didn't expect it. There are lots of overhyped shows out there and each show in the database seems to have at least one review in favor saying that is the best show they ever saw and another one saying that is just a waste of time. I guess it has to do with people's tastes, expectations, and what they get out of the show, not everyone focuses on the same thing despite both watching the same show, and not everyone has had the type of experiences in their lives that allows them to understand some shows, hence if you are not open-minded, you won't be able to get into some character's shoes or see things from the perspective of what the author is trying to convey. So I try shows even when they have bad reviews, I'm just more willing to drop them quickly if I'm unable to see potential in them.

What would be your all time favourite anime? I found really difficult to give you just one...

Overall, it may be One Piece as it has remained consistently good through the years, each arc has an overall theme, it's a show that has something to say and keeps the important things in life into perspective, it's a show that is not afraid to put their main characters in conflict with each other. Despite each arc having the same structure, they also have a constant progression for the main story and it is clear that the arcs are built with an overall plot in mind. This is an astonishing epic story as I have never seen in any other media, after 22+ years it still feels as new and relevant as when it began. It has a slow start (I dropped myself twice on episode 1 and a third time around ep 10), it only starts to get good around episode 30, but after that, it keeps getting better and better, you don't even feel you have watched 500+ episodes. I rarely used to rewatch any shows or movies, but I have rewatched One Piece 4 times up to the time skip (around episode 516) and twice more up to the end of Big Mom's Arc (around ep 890). I could keep going and going about this show, but I rather recommend you give it a try, but you'll have to watch at least to the end of Nami's Arc (around episode 44) before you made your mind of keep going or not.

I love dark stories because they are always about overcoming impossible odds and sometimes, about maintaining your values through the hardships and difficult decisions they have to make. Here I cite Attack on Titan, Berserk & Claymore to name a few. These types of shows may make the bulk of my favorites.

For Sci-Fi, I definitely love Ghost in the Shell, this is one of the reasons why I got into anime as it constantly gets cited as the inspiration for several of my favorite movies, like The Matrix. It is amazing that the original movie still feels as futuristic and relevant today, especially considering it was released in 1995, this was really ahead of its time! I also really love the world of Blame!

For supernatural and also for a smart dark philosophical story, I also love From the New World.

For adventure, I love Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind which has an ecological theme, Trigun which also has plenty of comedy and a philosophical theme of good vs evil, The Dragon Dentist which I love for the creativity of its world.

For comedy, I love Angel Beats! and of course, the Monogatari Series which is also very original in it's setting, the way the story is told not following a conventional timeline, amazing art and even the dialog play a big role to create its own style, there is no other series like this, The Tatami Galaxy may be the closest, but is not quite there.

What are your favorite genres?

Hi, yes, I do like SAO a lot, especially the first season. Although it has received some harsh reviews, most of them, come from people that are not actual fans of fantasy/game shows or didn't get what they were expecting from the show.

I actually haven't started watching even the first part of Alicization yet. I prefer to watch the shows in a binge as I hate long cliffhangers, so I have some shows in my watchlist just so I can keep track when they are completed (the + next to the episode number disappears), and that is my cue to start watching, lol. Psycho-Pass 3 just completed today, so I'll be watching that soon!

I see we are both watching The Great Passage, a show about making a dictionary, lol, although it is more slice-of-life. I'm always amazed by the variety of topics in anime, that is one of the things I like best, they can make even the making of a dictionary look interesting!

Yes, I completely agree, I was so disappointed with the Ghoul! The first season finished in a way that just seemed like this show had something meaningful to say and everyone wanted more, then the second season was just filler and completely ignore the plot focusing on fights, and that was still better than what they did in the third season with the story! You wait for years for a sequel sometimes and when it finally gets there it's disappointing to see a lower quality product, like in Berserk, where the animation just went to the floor for the sequels. I really hope AoT will not disappoint in the final stage!

Hi, yes I can't wait for AoT, it has been a great series so far, I hope it has a deserving ending!
