I feel like BNHA really strives in the shonen field with how many cliches it breaks down and brings a lot of new fresh ideas to the picnic. His character designs offer a pristine insight into the future of how characters have the capacity to be unpredictable and empowering while maintaining a sense of humor- which all contribute to their individual depth as cultural and literary icons of a new generation of storytelling.

In regards to BNHA. He knows how to break a couple of minor shonen cliches but ultimately he brings nothing new to the table. His character designs aren't very good either. Even the characters are really bland, corny and predictable, much like the story itself.
