Surviving a zombie apocalypse beats being a wage slave any day! After spending years slaving away for a soul-crushing company, Akira's life has lost its luster. He lives in a trash-filled apartment, his pay is abysmal, and he can't even muster up the nerve to confess his love to his beautiful co-worker. But when a zombie apocalypse ravages his town, it gives him the push he needs to live for himself. Now Akira's on a mission to complete all 100 items on his bucket list before he...well, kicks the bucket.
This is a comedy zombie apocalypse. An officeworker who's so done with his job that at the sight of a zombie apocalypse his first thought was "Oh, I don't have to go to work". The characters are the best part for me, like yeah he's the typically shounen but it works and I'm here rooting for him to complete his bucket list. The side characters too will slowly grow on you, especially his friend who he just reunited with as the zombies run over the cities. The story pushes things so it won't be just the same thing about them lazing around as zombies fill the roads, some things will force them to push forward, wether its for survival or just to finish their bucket list.
It's a shame, really. This is one of the manga that really have a fascinating premise but don't expand on it. I would've given this a 9/10 up until chapter 20. As soon as they leave the village to find a cure, the story is just exposing the author as clueless where to take this. It becomes nothing but a shitshow involving some of the most stupid things I've seen so far. The author is really just poking around but seriously, an AI Butler with a sheep's head and a fight between a Spino and a T-Rex seems like the author is really trying to cramp every single thing in this, desperately trying to find an approach that works. But it's really a shame, considering where this could've been taken. There would have been so much cool stuff that they could've done with this. I really am just sad to see this ship sinking after a very promising prologue.
