Both manga feature a character who has a girly side and is hiding it from everyone else, except in one series said character is a delinquent girl and in the other it's a guy...

Both manga revolve around a non-delinquent guy being involved with delinquent girls. In both series he knows something that could compromise the strongest delinquent girl and he has to keep a secret or else...

Oddly enough Onizuka from Yankano! and Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh have a lot in common, so if you liked one of them, you could check the other manga for a (somewhat) similar character.

If your looking for manga about super strong yankee girl\s and this weak average guy where there is lots of action and possibly some romance then Yankano! and Meguraian no Kimi might be worth checking out.
