Another dud in Junji Ito's extensive catalogue. Like many of feir works, it's focused on a singular, creepy element that is taken to absurdist extremes and portrayed with grotesque and gory imagery. A lot of horror relies on the readers feeling off-balance and not fully knowing what's going on, and as such, I'm not sure how much I can say without ruining some of that feeling. But I will say that the creep factor this manga is playing into is hair--specifically long hair. We see hair dripping down and getting tangled and stuff like that. I like the way the wet hair is drawn.
