When I found out the creator of Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts, Yu Tomofuji, had another manga with a similar Beauty and the Beast type story, I was excited to read it. I think Wolfull Moon was a decently enjoyable short read. It wasn't anything mindblowing but it was a cute read. The story and characters were rather generic, but it was similar to Beauty and the Beast so I couldn't help but like it. The ML protects the FL while she shows him about care. It's cute. There's some good action scenes and some cute scenes, though a lot of them are realitively generic. The artwork is pretty and the character design showcases the character well, with a good amount of detail. Wolfull Moon is a sweet short read.

All I can say is that this is a cute and short manga. It was really entertaining reading from the beggining till the end. Our heroine is different from others. She could see demons since her early childhood. Unfortunately, no one would believe her. Her parents were always accusing her of lying and abadoned her. Thinking about the life she has lead, on the street she meets a little puppy that turns out to be the wolf king Fenrir. He has searched for a thousand years for a maiden that will undo his curse, which makes him unenable to tranform into a powerful wolf. He's currently only able to transform from a puppy into a adolescent boy. Since the birth of a maiden seems to be extremly rare, it seems natural that he would be searching for centuries for the maiden, but it's always left unanswered why did it take so long for a special case like her to be born. Naturally, she takes care of him and they get a bit closer.  While at home, he behaves a bit like a dog, eats only meat and sits on the roof of the dog house. It is really cute when she comforts him about being alone and the calm face he makes while being comformed. Both end up in danger and Fenrir comes to rescue the day! First the girl gets attacked by a demon, then in the second chapter Fenrir gets attacked. The first enemy was defeated by him alone and the second, more powerful one was defeated thanks to the maiden's powers awakening. In both situations is the typical „save the girl“ scenario. He behaves like a teenager in love and tells her that he's gonna protect her and she blushes. It doesn't matter if he's Fenrir, for me he was a boy who has yet to grow into an adult. He's possessive and that makes her glad. It is only 3 chapters long, the third ends with a few chapters continuing in an extra chapter. It tells the story of a young boy who was raised by wolves and a man who's decided to reintroduce him into society. The man has a niece who was left alone by her other family members and gains a sense of belonging with the boy and her uncle. What is there else to say, a short, nice read indeed.

The set-up for this story reminded me of a lot of other stories that I've run into--most notably is probably Bleach. Our protagonist can see supernatural things. There are constant fights against big demonic monsters. A male character frequently swoops in and saves female characters at the last minute. Another manga I'm reminded of is Beast Master. The romance is built around a female character who is able to handle a somewhat wild and animalistic male character. The guy is possessive. And there's a story element about a character's true form being held back by a seal, which is also something that I've seen before. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this manga didn't impress me. It felt pretty generic, and the character arcs and even the personalities themselves didn't do much to impress. I thought the idea of Fenrir actually liking the maiden was a nice touch, but I thought the way it was handled wasn't fleshed out enough. In fact, I could say that about almost every plot element--it wasn't fleshed out enough. Which ended up giving the manga the feeling that it was just touching on ideas in a surface-level type of way. And that plus the fact that the ideas it was touching on are often playing on ideas that I've seen done a bunch of other times just led to this manga not being very entertaining or enjoyable for me.
