Dengeki Daisy and Wild Ones are both shoujo romance mangas with a touch of heroics. Although the plots are different, the premises are the same. Both the male leads in these series are assigned as protectors of the heroine, and thus face similar challenges in confessing/ coming to terms with their love. The character dynamics and interactions of these mangas are very similar, and there will be many sweet (and some sad) moments that will bring you flashbacks of the former series. The main female leads of these series are also similar in the sense that they are strong personalities who have made it through tragedy and can stand up on their own. The only difference between the two mangas that I can see is that Wild Ones is a bit lighter on the drama and puts a little more effort to be comedic than Dengeki Daisy. However if you loved one series there should be little reason to not love the other.

I hadn't thought about it before reading the other rec, but it's true! The mood and dynamics in these manga are actually pretty similar. I usually look at more concrete things, but if you enjoyed the tempo and vibe of one, you really should read the other series too! ^_^

Although the style of drawing is drastically different for the two mangas, I feel that they are both very similar; if you like Wild Ones I believe that you will also enjoy Gokusen. Wild Ones is a romantic story that also has some elements of comedy, whereas Gokusen is a comedy that has some elements of a forbidden romance, similar to Wild Ones. What makes them both special is that they are both based around Yakuza, portraying them in a good light, and that they are both about the successors of their respective yakuza families, trying desperately in many humurous ways to hide it. Unfortunately, Gokusen is also quite a crude manga, instead of the nice feeling kind of manga Wild Ones is.

JAhU JAhU says...

If you like the setting in Wild Ones, you will love Gokusen. Both of those revolve around a yakuza ummm.... princess. Even though characters differ between those two, they still give a similar feel. Wild Ones is driven more by romance, while Gokusen is driven by comedy. Still there is a nicely done romance included in Gokusen.

Kamisama Kiss

Unfortunately, Nanami’s new home is occupied by Tomoe, a fox familiar who objects to the presence of a mere mortal and immediately begins to bicker with the girl. But there’s a catch: Nanami has to kiss him first, and who’d want to lock lips with that awful guy?!

What they have in common:

 - The stories both revolve around the couple and their developing relationship.

- Both girls in each story have the male as the protecting figure, and they're both ninja-esque.

- Both couples have complications arising from a difference in "status."

- Both stories have wonderful art, coming from someone who's very picky, and the bishies are lovely.

Differences:

- While they both have humor elements, Shinobi (in comparison) is a bit darker than Arakure.

Sachie from Wild Ones and Nanami from Kamisama are very similar characters. They are both girls who begin their stories with tragedies, Nanami's dad (and her only family) steps out on her and Sachie's mother dies. They both come to live (reluctantly) at unusual places, the home of a Yakuza boss in Wild Ones and a Land God shrine in Kamisama. Sachie and Nanami are both characters that people in the stories underestimate. They are both very strong and brave but not afraid to cry.

Both Tokyo Crazy Paradise and Wild Ones are about a forbidden romance between the hier (or in the case of TCP, the 14 year old boss) of a yakuza group. Tokyo Crazy Paradise is a mix of both comedy and romance as the young crossdressing bodyguard heroine battles with her feelings towards her protectee. Both Mangas are really sweet and compliment eachother well; if you liked Wild Ones, I think that you will like Tokyo Crazy Paradise. Although Tokyo Crazy Paradise can be quite rude with some scenes of brief nudity, so it is not for younger readers.

Both Wild Ones and Harem Lodge are about a girl who recently becomes orphaned and believes they have no where to go until some connection they didn't know about shows up. Thrown into a strange new world, they have a hard time adapting to their new environments. This challenge is made even harder when the boy they are living with is in love with them. In addition, both male characters met the main girl character when they were children and fell in love with her then but the female characters don't recognize them. Both are sweet romance stories.

JAhU JAhU says...

It seems that heiresses of yakuza clans who want to lead a normal life tend to develop two personalities. One is that of a normal girl and the other is that of a fearful yakuza woman. It seems to be that case in both Arakure and Change 2!!, though more literately in the Change series, since the heroine actually has split personality disorder. If you like yakuza manga, both of those might interest you. Just a word of warning, both of those contain small bits of ecchi (shoujo ecchi isn't exactly the same thing as shounen one) and the emphasis on the romance part goes through the roof in Arakure.

P.S. Change 2!! has a sequel titled W Change!! The ecchi part, which wasn't even prominent in the first manga, gets toned down even further there (which is a good thing for those of you who don't like ecchi).

Captive Hearts and Wild Ones are both shoujo mangas about a high-class girl and a low-class boy, though there's a slight difference between heiress-thief and yakuza princess-caretaker. :) Regardless, everyone has to figure out whether or not their feelings are genuine, appropriate, or a mistake. If you like one, try the other!

Both have girl main characters who lost their mother. As the story progresses both girls learn about their mothers. Both main characters fall in love but hide it. Both are funny and romantic. I'd say if you liked wild one's you will like wild act. But wild act isn't for young readers more like early teens +.

Both series revolve around a forbidden relationship between a yakuze heiress and her bodyguard. Unfortunately both series also share a number of flaws (like poor panel continuity), but if you read one and liked it (and didn't mind the flaws), you'll probably enjoy the other.
