The heroine of both books died and was transferred to the body of babies in an old europe kind of setting. They fought to live as babies, trying to survive their tyrant Emperor of a father. They figured that being a cute daughter is the route to go, so they act on it. I still haven't figured out how both are romance but the stories are still ongoing. I am as far as possible on WMMAP, but i still have tons of episoded to go for DOTE. Read the summaries for further information.

Both shows are about reincarneted princesses who have horible dads who are really handsome. The dads are both kings who took the seat of king by force. And also orignally were not supposed to even look at the 'princess'. I love them both....

Similar : about transmigrated into a body of a princess.

The different : one is transmigrated into a novel she read, other she don't recognize this world at all.

Daughter of the emperor is more slowpaced than who made me princess, there's more mystery in who made me princess

Reincarnation in the form of a baby, full color, royalty. Who Made Me a Princess is faster in aging the MC, still I really enjoy them both.

However, at times they are to similar be ready for that.

Both are stories about a girl reincarnated into the body of a princess whose father is a socially inept tyrant and views human life as pretty cheap. Both father's have tragic pasts that get explored later on, while both protagonists make it their mission in their new life to simply survive, until they start actually viewing these rulers as their actual father. Both have a very similar concept and hit a lot of the same story beats.

Tamer0225 Tamer0225 says...

The mangas corasponted in the aspects of a new found love from the father and being a single father of a daughter and a kingdom. The Emperor or King both start as a man who didn't desire children, so they either attempted to kill or reject the idea. But after a few chapters the Emperor or King starts to have an interest in the daughter. From the daughters' perspective she has reincarnated from the future or from another world, this brings the aspect of adult thoughts while in a baby or child form. You should read one or another or both as it has a great plot and character with many personalities.

B14ckR053 B14ckR053 says...

Both of the series feature daughters of the emperor that were hated at first, but later loved by their fathers. However, Who Made Me a Princess is more about the female lead's pre-teenage life, while Daughter of the Emperor focuses a bit more at the beginning of the series on the female lead's toddler life.

I think the 2 mangas have a similar theme, I liked the 2 very much. Both protagonists have tyrannical parents, but both of them try to make them like them, or at least they don't kill them and get them to want to protect them. Both manga have a lot of suspense and I'm looking forward to the next chapter. I recommend the 2, for those who like this theme.

mieze2999 mieze2999 says...

Both protagonists are reincarnated as the daughter of an Emperor who has no love for their children in the actual novel but come to love them because of their unique behaviour. The settings are quite similiar, though the stories differ.

MAJLange MAJLange says...

Honestly, the light airy vibe that both stories have when the main characters get close to their 'cold' Father's will fulfill your desires. If you liked one you'll definitely feel a similar feeling reading the other, despite the plot differences both will evoke a warm, comforting feeling.

wun001 wun001 says...

It mainly comes down to the art and the translations available at the time. And I prefer "Who Made Me a Princess" better. The storyline seems to be almost identical for their early after that I can't say.

I'll re-read  "Daughter of the Emperor" to my check out list and see if it's gotten any better and I'll level a review. When I get it back to it.

illuesel illuesel says...

I honestly think these two are very alike... Caitel and Claude are both ruthless men that became a doting father to their unwelcomed daughters...  And both daughters, Ria and Athy, were both doing there best to please and be loved by their dear fathers just to avoid getting killed by their own hands... Both of them have a nanny who they treat as a mother figure and a trusted knight that they seem to be very fond and get along with.

I also like their differences, giving both similar stories different vibes like, if Caitel is a ruthless dork, Claude is a cold-ruthless. Who Made Me a Princess's pace is also a bit faster compared to The Emperor's Daughter but the way the father and the daughter bonded with each other is very loveable.

Both stories are amazeballs, I recommend it both to everyone.

puppylove29110 puppylove29110 says...

The same premise, both princesses have the same goal as wanting to survive by using both wits and their charms.

gmn gmn says...

They are both about being an unwanted child trying to win over their father's heart (the emperor).

Who made me a princess has a lot of twists and an interesting plot. The MC interacts with different characters that are also isn't living in the castle which makes it more enjoyable. (unlike Daughter of the Emperor that has fewer characters)

While Daughter of the Emperor mostly focuses on the MC daily life, she is just trying hard to get her father's love though she is too dumb that she was already loved before she noticed.

In my opinion, I loved Who made me a princess more (in terms of story and plot), although I wouldn't say I hated reading Daughter of the Emperor it's just that sometimes I get a feeling that the story isn't going anywhere.

In both the stories, the characters are loveable and there are fun and cute moments.

I would prefer the amazing art in who made me a princess rather than Daughter of the Emperor.

Overall, the two years difference in the publishing makes me predict that Who Made Me a Princess is an improved version of Daughter of the Emperor and I would say they succeed in making it better lol.

If you like either of these, you'll like the other because

  • Both the MC have been reborn from another world
  • Both have a crazy father who wanted to kill the MC but due to their MOODS, didn't kill the MC and then later on in the story end up loving them
  • In both stories, the MC didn't want this kind of a life in the start but eventually they came to love their father as well
  • Both MC's mother died during their birth or just after that
  • Both MCs have relatives who want to kill them or their father
  • Both MC have hot LIs whom they know since childhood
  • Both are princesses and the plots of both the stories are focused on how the MCs grew up and don't really have any motives.

Although they aren’t necessarily similar, they give off the same pleasant, satisfying vibe. Both stories are about meaningful journey towards changing the fate placed upon a person. In this sense, they are easy to relate to one another. I also suggest Lady BabyIt’s quite similar in terms of themes with both these manga as well!

BlackSummerDays BlackSummerDays says...

Both are very different takes on the isekai genre while still holding a similar appeal, Elise is someone originally from the world she reincarnates to now with experience as a doctor on earth while Athy is a korean girl reincarnated to a world she's only vaguely familiar with due to the novel. Elise's primary appeal is in its romance and her developing relationships with the people around her like her family and colleagues, while Who made me a princess is alll about athy's bond with her villain of a father and her hilarious personality.

They're both fun to read for both vicarious and entertainment purposes, there's something gentle and thrilling to be found in both. They both reincarnate at different ages too so it's very interesting to see how they go about things in different ways! Also I love the art in both.

Both deal with reincarnation and both MCs try to survive their own way by avoiding execution. Though Dr.Elise does it by distancing herself from the prince while WMMAP MC does it by getting closer to the emperor.

WhoDoYouThingIAm WhoDoYouThingIAm says...

All honestly, the two stories are very different yet similar in some aspects... Doctor Elise is about the FL tries to become a full-time doctor while also breaking off her engagement with the crown prince because of her past-past life. On the otherhand, Who Made Me A Princess is a story about a modern era girl reincarnated into one of the characters inside of a novel that entails about a very cold,...scary king. The person of which she reincarnated into is the supposed unloved/ unfavoured/ or just straight-out the person the king hates the most despite she hasn't technically done anything. Well, for her to survive, the moment she had first met the king, she tries to gain his favours to avoid her imidiate death from the king..... ALL IN ALL, they both talk about a hardworking lady trying to change their supposed doom future through hardwork. THEY BOTH HAVE ROMANCE but the WHO MADE ME A PRINCESS doesn't prioritize that much but instead with familial love between a parent and a child instead.

HONESTLY, JUST READ IT. THEY BOTH HELLA GOOD

Jingable Jingable says...

Because ,in this manhwa, elise was a villian in her past life.Fortunately, she was givena second chance to survive. In this time , she isn't no more villian and she solved the problem of the country with her medical knowledge.

In this novel,in her first life, the male lead hated her a lot .But, in her reborn life, she avoided not only doing bad thinds but also the male lead. She loved her father a lot.So , she was hardworking. But in return, in her reborn life ,the prince didn't hate her a little and interested a lot. That plot made me interested in this manga a lot. Not only that the female lead is also a workholic and complete with her doctor ethic. That makes me awful.

Flirting with The Villain's Dad

Ack! I'm trapped in this webnovel, "Brigitte Wants to be Happy!" No prob, I KNOW what's gonna happen so I'll just—wait. I'm not Brigitte? I'm her aunt, Princess Yerenika?! Uh-oh. I'm stuck 20 years before the main plot... and everyone in my generation ends up tragically dead! Her parents, dead. Me, dead. Villain's dad, King Euredian, dead. A-ha! That's the key. I just need to prevent the villain from being born... time to break out some seduction schemes and flirt like my life depends on it!

MinRei MinRei says...

mc tries to charm the emperor with their cuteness to ensure their safety in the future

the difference, in SVF the "father" is not his dad, he's the love interest of mc and the reason why she wants to "seduce" him is to save him from his future son

keithashiyami keithashiyami says...

Both main characters are trying to win the hearts of the men who are involved in tragic fate.

Mikanonatsume Mikanonatsume says...

Both characters have similar personality of how their thoughts differ from the outward expressions they make. They think alike too and the story moves at a pace where you don't have to feel like nothing happens. The difference would be the in WMMAP Athy wants to win over her father but in SVF yerenica has to win over the emperor who's the future villain's father.  Overall give off a pretty similar feeling even if the stories premise doesnt math much. I'll advice you to give it a try. I'm sure you'll love it

The tone is very similar as is the art style, and both plots center around a girl from our world becoming a secondary or side character in a novel and attempting to change the story. Who Made Me a Princess has been running longer, so has had more plot development that is pretty gripping, and we don't know if that will happen with Seduce the Villain's Father, as it has just begun, but both are highly entertaining. The two FL's internal monologues are very funny and a real strength of both.

hansumohchinchin hansumohchinchin says...

The art are both very nice, although the plots are pretty different the style is similar, comedy in both of them

Neveresta Neveresta says...

These series are both manhwa's that are originally based off novels, about female characters who are transmigrated into the novels they read in their lives...and are also characters that were tragically killed in the later timelines. Both trying to stay alive with their knowledge and skills so they don't die.

They both have royalty, have magic in their worlds, and also have great comedy. If you like funny stories and interesting characters, check it out.

Altaea Altaea says...

They are both awesome and similar. I don't know what else to write just read them both if you like isekai.

AthyFairy AthyFairy says...

omg if you love clyde's personality from wmmap and want to see someone like him become romantically involve with fl, this is it! The ml in flirting with the villains dad gives me strong clyde vibe

Both MCs are reincarnated and start in the new world as a baby. Both MCs'  dads are total scmbags and both MCs try to get into their dads' good graces. Both stories are adorable with the cute little princesses as MCs.

Xia0anne Xia0anne says...

A very similar plotline with a princess and the state of the relationship with the royal family.

ArishaSmile ArishaSmile says...

The premise of these two stories is very similar. A girl is born to a father who is unfeeling and unkind, and if she wants to survive, she will have to suck up her pride and schmooze him into loving her. Meanwhile, side things are happening and potential romances are introduced. It's two different approaches to an interesting premise, and if you really enjoyed one, the odds are you will like the other.

Yui1 Yui1 says...

Both have reincarnation and father who dosen't like the main character at first ,but starts to love her.

Snokilisk Snokilisk says...

Same plotline, girl reborn as the daughter of an important dude that may or may not kill the MC.

For who looking for the story where the FL was reincarnated in isekai world as a princess and must survive by enchanting her daddy to have a favor in her, i'll said yes..

But for addition, in they say i was born a king daughter, there is not just her daddy.. but all men around her! Because she was going in the world where men is in the top of all and she must act and fools every men around her to take her side.. Lol

Have sort of the same premise, but the protagonists choose a different path: one tries to live by closing the distance between her and her father, both learning how to love each other in the process, while, the other sets herself free from the 'chain' that is her love for her father and starts living for herself.

The lack of communication is killing me 💀 not only they are not talking to each other but also the maid doesn't even report what's happening in the castle...... such a mess 🤦 like a lot of things could've been avoided if they started having a proper conversation  😒 🙄 MY BLOOD IS BOILLING RIGHT NOW 🤬

The Male Lead's Little Lion Daughter

The Male Lead's Little Lion Daughter

The handsome Duke Voreoti is the most terrifying man in the empire, with the coldest of demeanors and a gaze that can kill. But one day, he suddenly says that he wants to… adopt a child?! And that child is me?! After finding me at a shady orphanage, he whisked me away to his snowy palace without a second thought. Now I’m learning all the ways of the feared Voreoti family from his knights. However, things get dicey when the Duke becomes suspicious of my origins. With these fangs and jet black hair, perhaps we are more than just kindred spirits…

They both feature doting fathers and adorable daughters. I really love the art style and warm scenes in both mangas.

ML in the male's little lion daughter gave me a bit of Clyde vibes at first

I love how ML dots on her over time

this one is more about father/daughter than romance (unlike WMMAP have some romance components)

so if you are looking for a story line of father/daughter bonding this is a great read

1. both MCs are reincarnated into a novel

2. both manhwas focus on the reletionship between the MC and thir father

3. both father and daughter reletionship are very similar

when i read The Male Lead's Little Lion Daughter, the reletionship that i saw from the father and the MC quickly reminded me of Who Made Me A Princess.
