Touya Fujii is a young university student who juggles two part-time jobs with his studies so that he can afford to live. The most important thing in his life is his girlfriend Yuki, but since she is an up and coming idol they barely get a chance to talk, let alone see each other. With her managers keeping a close watch on her and attempting to prevent their relationship, it seems that Touya and Yuki will simply have to make the most of their fleeting moments together. However, they do have one person fighting in their corner: Yuki’s friend - the famous idol Rina Ogata - hires Touya in order to create opportunities for the pair to be together. Unfortunately he is promptly fired when the production company discover her plan. When she pledges to make it up to him, Touya begins to wonder if Rina is all that she seems, and why is she going to so much trouble for him and Yuki?
Dang, looks like I can't put in a negative score. This won't be too long. I believe that White Album is based off of something else actually, a visual novel maybe? Anyway, on to the review. Story Bad. Nothing very good. Nothing makes it stand out. Short, which personally I don't like, but with a nice difference in themes, the world of celebrities. The part I hated was that it had some promise, was a growing story, starts building up something around Chapter 23. Then comes Chapter 24, which smashes my hope for this manga. And then the final Chapter is 25, which takes the shattered pieces of my hope only to put it into a furnace and scorch it beyond all recognition. Art Wow, fantastic. Honestly, the best art I've seen in a while. Very good, but doesn't quite make up for the story and characters. Only good part of this manga. Period. Characters Oh, oh God. Ugg... These characters were... terrible. Completely terrible. Tsundere girl, Girl with history with the male lead, pushover Guy who somehow attracts everybody, Secret crush girl, etc. Classics, and not the good kind. They almost fail as classics. Well, don't read it. Nice idea. At Chapter 1 or 2, I thought this Manga had some promise. Yeah, nope.
White Album is pretty recent so i'm giving it a low grade because it hasn't really developed yet. But, from what i've read so far i can't really find a deep story line. It has some romance and drama in it with some teary eye moments. But, in my opinion, there wasn't really a hook in the story.
