During the autumn of their first year of high school, Hayato Kuga is assigned to sit next to Yuki Amano. Miss Amano is basically silent at all times and never smiles. So, Mr. Kuga has to try this and that to get her attention thanks to the wall he senses coming from her. Hayato Kuga is an airheaded, friendly popular guy who (oblivious to it) gets intimately close to Yuki Amano, which flusters fem. Amano is a dead-eyed, emotionless quiet girl who pinches feir cheeks when fe gets fed up with feir behavior. They have what the manga itself refers to as "a somewhat complicated, yet fluffy romance" where neither one of them realizes that they're in love with the other (at least at first). Other than the tension created when an obliviously intimate person interacts with a closed-off person, the manga also focuses on Amano's efforts as an amateur novelist. Other important characters include Natsume Sato, a big-boobed classmate who's (I guess) a love rival and a friend to Amano. And "four-eyes" Kaneko, a light-novel reader who enjoys watching how Kuga's romantic goings-ons unfold similarly to how it would if they were in a light novel. The main reason I have this manga rated so low is because Amano's character is uninteresting to me and fe's pretty central to the plot. I could see fem being seen as cute to others though, so my rating may not be the best indicator of whether this manga will interest you or not.

so i went in with great expectations... the comments said it was amazing the ratings were quiet high. but after reading it half way through i found it average then over the time kinda boring. i read it for a warm cute fluffy feeling but it wasn't worth that. but the growing love story or infatuation wasn't cringey. it was average. it had nothing to stand out.abt characters yuki amano was fine, no complaints here considering it's a 4-koma shojou(turns out it's a seinen). but my god! that boobs girl was shallow, even kuga was one dimensional. first look at the art disappointed me a bit... it was lowkey giving me manhua vibes(the colored version got better afterwards) but after seeing the black and white manga art it was quiet goodit kinda got boring half way through. so for i won't read it unless i have anything good to read. so 6/10 considering it's still a shojou manga u will be curious how they confessed or whatever. but it didn't get me invested. it's either hit or miss for me it was a miss.

Despite individual pieces of the manga being rather average, and the fairly cookie-cutter story and characters, the romance and story never made me feel like cringing, or like it's dragging it out. To be honest, looking at it objectively this manga is VERY average and is by far not a masterpiece or anything, but it made me feel extremely fluffy and warm inside even though the characters aren't actually in a couples relationship. TLDR: An average but very well done warm and fluffy growing love story.
