I felt like I was in a fever dream when I was reading this, sobs. I forgot that I was choosing random shounen-ai to satisfy my late night reading sessions, so seeing the reveals of who was playing the characters in the VR game settings they're in made me go "HUH- WAIT WHAT?" which made it 10x funnier than it should've been. I'm not too sure about the portrayal of the characters' online personas. Was a bit uncomfortable for me, but I guess it adds to the silliness..? Overall, a bittersweet reading experience, with a side of confusion.

I'm not sure I can do justice to this story in this simple review. It was an emotional experience for me. Bittersweet and beautiful. Tearsome. Adorable. There's ecchiness and groping, but more importantly, there's genuine romance. We get character development and some groovy narrative choices (namely the introduction of Aoi and showing some moments of relational development through Aoi's perspective). It was sorta funny seeing Naoki (a balding older man) acting like a blushing maiden. It made me smile and it would've made me cry if my ducts weren't hardened by years of cynicism and emotional weariness.
