In a deserted post-apocalyptic metropolis riddled with a mysterious material a young girl is searching for any signs of life and supplies.
This story is all kinds of depressing. It's well done but sheesh... It's like 'everything is dead and hopeless and maybe that's ok' and I'm like no, it's not, it’s really not. It just gets your hopes up then snuffs them out and looks you in the eyes and says ‘wasn’t that lovely?’ The end of the world with a side of sentimentalism. I will give it credit for not stringing you along by making everything a mystery. The worldbuilding is very efficient. And there’s even the odd fight to spice things up a tiny bit, but that’s not the focus of the story. If that sounds like your cup of tea, I’d say give it a try. If, like me, you already have a hard time getting out of bed you might want to pass on this one.
