US-2: Kyuunan Hikoutei Kaihatsu Monogatari

The "US-2" is a state of the art amphibious aircraft used in rescue missions by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. Only one US-2 aircraft exists in the world, and it is able to make landings on ocean waters that have waves up to 3 meters high. It is used to look for and rescue victims in all the ocean waters surrounding Japan, transporting the citizens of outlying islands, and is always certain to accomplish its mission. But making such a highly capable, world-class aircraft that can save countless lives caused Japan to go through a series of trials and hardships until it was completed...
