WOAH this cute manhwa took a dark turn like a complete TURN emotions wise. It got really depressing when the truth surfaced between these unlucky-lucky duo.... I do enjoy the concept and thought it to be merely a fluffy shonen-ai but schiit it had to unexpectedly hit me with their depressing backgrounds.

Jasper has been unlucky his whole life yet that didn't stop him from keeping up a positive outlook which is what I like about him, even so being all sunny didn't get him anywhere he ended up being a pushover for those who think he's putting on an act to have Miley (his gal pal for over a decade) worry for him. He doesnt fight back since he thought his unluckiness is always to blame for everything.

Hart, a lucky chap who's his complete opposite is, like I said, LUCKY. If wealth & success still doesn't make a man happy the same applies to Hart's luck too, it's not just their fates that are polar opposites, their personalities are as well. Hart's an aloof depressed fella who lives his life everyday seeing his luck as cursed, his depression stemmed from an unfortunate childhood accident which... spreads to more mental disorders from that moment on. After knowing an unlucky fella named Jasper is at school they ended up relying on each other to even out their "lucks", and the reason behind their inexplicable "luck" phenomenon will melt your dang kokoro...

The side characters are also fleshed out equally, only off bit was the ending which happened all too sudden, the other thing they didn't clear up on was Jasper's different surname.

Unluckily Lucky - ToomicsThis manga was really a joy to read. It had so many fun elements and made me laugh many times. But regardles of that it really did have many stories behind the story, which I really enjoyed as well. Some of those were not that bright which was a nice contrast from the main storyline. And even the main storyline had a big twist which made me gasp.

I like the characters and I also really like their relationships they had and the ones they've build from scratch. I also really admire the positivity of Jasper. He was always smiling and thinking positively even though he was "unlucky". But behind all that wasn't all rainbows and unicorns - which leads to the lesson: Even though someone is smiling all the time and is in high spirits, that doesn't mean she or he doesn't have some hard times. Also Hart being that "lucky"... He actually wasn't that happy. --> We shouldn't judge a person based only on the surface.

Okay overall, a really nice manga to read, quite interesting, funny and exciting (happy and not that happy).

SPOILER (?)

The ending was pretty cute but it was kind of sudden and happened really quickly. It didn't feel like it was the end. Kind of a clif hanger. I WANT MORE!

I have mixed feelings about this one. It starts off pretty light hearted and comedic with a cute unique storyline, yet it delves into much more serious and dark themes, like suicide. I was a bit wary when they introduced the biggest conflict, in my opinion, very close to the end. The manhwa was very well paced for the most part, until the end. The ending came way to abrupt. Hart and Jasper had developed a beautiful friendship, but not anything in the sense of romance. The end scene was honestly pretty shitty to be honest, I really felt that the author should've added a few more chapters, now it just feels like they had cut half the conclusion. I really had enjoyed how they took something fluffy and slowly started addressing serious issues, so the ending and the lack of romantic chemistry between the main leads was so disappointing. I do reccommend it, but honestly, the ending was very unsatisfactory. Characters were easily the best aspect. The characters were very lovable, and I love the dynamic between Hart and Jasper. They also introduced a minor antagonist, his backstory allowed us to empathise for him. But, and I loved how even the manhwa itself addressed this, it simply doesn't justify what he did. Art was fine for the most part, but sometimes the body proportions were disturbing, but only slightly.

This manhwa was so fun to read..I laughed a lot and the plot/summary  itself attracts to read it - the most unlucky guy meets  the most luckiest guy.. the story was really awesome and their backstories was really dark .. though the ending was kinda rushed and it still feels incomplete without a proper ending, nevertheless it's really an enjoyable read
