When Ji Wonyoung's direct superior at work is fired due to a corruption scandal, Wonyoung - in spite of being innocent of any wrongdoing - finds himself unceremoniously discharged from the company as well. Desperate to get his job back, Wonyoung tries to curry favor by tracking down the chairman's favorite artist. He finds the missing man running a pottery shop in a remote town, but it's clear that Yoon Taejun has no desire to be found. Wonyoung decides to hang around town and secretly report whatever he can learn about Taejun's self-imposed exile; but when feelings begin to develop between the two, Wonyoung starts to question his sexuality, his motivations, and whether he even wants to go back to his old life in Seoul. But what will happen when Taejun learns Wonyoung has been spying on him this entire time?
Do you ever just feel like your reading the same story with the same characters over and over again? No hate on this story in particular I liked it, it's just that I went in with a certain expectation of what the story was and it was wrong. No matter what the original situation I just seems like all romance story's are devolve back into the bundle of clichés by the end. I liked this story but I liked it for the same EXACT reason I like 50 other romance stories both straight and BL and inevitably that lead me to being a bit...bored. There, I said it. The beginning was interesting and the drama was cool and all, but I've seen it all a hundred times before and this one certainly didn't bring an ounce of originality again. Also can we please just let the 'honest, pure and innocent' feminine caricature die? It's over done and unrealistic. Plenty of people fall in love and get laid ever day and their nothing like that.
If you've read "hold me tight" before you'll get almost the same feeling when reading this, the bloody angst the character gives off who had to try desperately to hide the sneaky operation he's doing, you gon be reading this in preparation for the not-so-pleasant reaction of the other party when the truth comes to light. "Hold me tight" doesn't deliver the same angst due to the fact that it's smut throughout and Giovanni already knew, whilst in this one Taejun is absolutely clueless for about 28 chapters straight, chap 28 is like an instant heartbreak and you'll have to bear with your aching kokoro for like 10 chaps for them to make up again. The experience was not so pleasant since you know this shit will come sooner or later, but after all the post-angsty shit is cleared up I assure you they'll make up and go back to smoochy smooch again, all the tension will be lifted off after chap 38. This pattern is inevitable since the author chose this type of storyline: temporary bliss-reveal-heartbreak-misunderstandings cleared-back to square one. Wonyoung also ain't an uke that needs to be pursued after a breakup, the man is spontaneous, he became the pursuer post-break up to get his man back. Comes off as clingy but his unwavering persistence alone earned himself some brownie points *evangelion's last ep claps*.
This was a very cute and mostly wholesome bl/yaoi **tho it's not mature scenes shown much until side stories** The slight miscommunication and holding back the truth was a bit frustrating but also understandable from all perspectives. I wished this was in colored format because they're so cute :((( and so is the side couple :((. **OVERVIEW AND SPOILERS ** When first reading it sucks Mc wants to use a famous person in hiding to try and get his job back but thankfully they get together in the end. A good turn straight guy, gay bl story here. Mc denies the feelings til he can't deal with ml being cold because ml doesn't want to wait for someone who isn't even certain he wants him. Realistic p.o.v. with how exes screw up a person and the next relationship but thankfully these dudes worked it out. I hated Mc coming up with excuses to not tell ml especially knowing what his ex did :// I love how everyone around them can tell how much they like each other while they deny it xD. Gotta show some love to Bean as well for being adorable xD. I love the couple rings and the fact they both get jealous but talked it out healthily *after a moment of alone time to think*. I highly recommend reading this :)).
