If a telepath, a clairvoyant, a vice detective, a ninja with super reflexes, a spirit medium, an oil magnate, an extremely lucky boy, and an extremely strong man were to fight it out in a rock-paper-scissors tournament, who would you bet your money on? Just because it's a simple game with simple rules doesn't mean the matches will be simple.
Here are the participants in this rock-paper-scissors tournament: Mitarai Shinzou--precognitive telepath Totsune Mirai--precognitive clairvoyant Satonaka Misao--vice detective (with a secret identity) Angdra--oil magnate Inazuma--super fast ninja Oomiya Toshimichi--man who talks to feir muscles Yotsuba--spirit medium Tanaka Tadashi--super lucky grade schooler The premise of this short manga is funny on its own. And the various powers and capabilities of the participants made me genuinely curious about how the different match-ups would play out. Each match is about two or three chapters long and each match has included strategic twists which I didn't see coming, which helps keep things pretty fresh and engaging. There are also come backstories and personal motives given for the various characters as well as some new gods introduced. I will say, though, that I have a distaste for the times when the losing participants used their powers to help someone else (with the final match being my least favorite for that very reason). I think perhaps the author was trying to keep all the characters involved in the story, but I personally just didn't care for that aspect. It is horribly drawn though.
