TW: Assault ; Contains spoilers  Note: I apologise if this was hard to read due to the lack of formatting, for some reasons I am not able to access the toolbar and am not able to block spoilers well. I usually make a habit of bolding TLDR for accessibility reasons.  It had the potential to be one of the predictable yet cute Sunday afternoon fluff but instead turned out to be disgustingly frustrating. Everyone's personalities are bland and unexplored. Seriously, the only thing we know about all the characters (including the side characters)is that these people is that they are nice , their occupations and who their romantic partners are. I don't know how even after 60 chapters and 3 seasons that is possible. Things just happen and that's about it. The main couple is cute I guess, but the brother is incredibly insufferable. He is overly interested in his brother, although it is explained people in the universe act like its a justification and lets him get away with everything. The brother assaults the boyfriend, even breaking his nose just for dating his sibling. The man did nothing to prompt that and has been an incredibly respectful person to the brothers despite them lying about being together for months. Oh that's another thing by the way, there is so much bro-con here that it beats the anime sis-con trope easily. It's also very uncomfortable whenever the brothers are on the screen. Say, If you were playing siblings or dating let's just say you'd never ever guess the siblings answer for them. The first time the two Love interests hang out with each other, the brother tags along and neither of them think to warn the guy about it. He is unacceptably hostile towards the love interest and it is incredibly creepy. To the point where he felt justified to assault the man his brother is in a healthy, consensual relationship with it. Mind you, this was not an impulsive slap or something that can be explained away with the author's flimsy reasoning. He talked to the boyfriend about them being together. The poor guy had to plan a meeting in public because he was hoping that might just save him from getting idk killed ig. They only think that he would refrain violence in public because the guys is an actor/ a model or something. Like the brother thinks the man is so unreasonably impulsive that he only choses the bare minimum route when the guys' living relies on public opinion. The most frustrating part is that the brother is rewarded for his behaviour. He barely gets any ire from anyone in the story. It only occurred to the jackass that he should apologise once (spoiler) he saw the boyfriend's mother crying as she was worried for her son's life. For context, he got stabbed while trying to save his bf from getting mugged. She is a widow who lost her husband in war too. He says the least remorseful thing applicable in that scenario also. His parents barely give him a slap on the wrist for assaulting someone. His brother who initially blocked him is ready to reconcile. The boyfriend says that it's not a big deal and *they* were expecting this to happen anyway. like I was saying. The way the brother went about is also very deliberate. He calls the bf a "cunning bastard" for choosing a public location, saying that he knows that he only did this because he cannot do anything in public. He later takes the bf to his partner's place and then assaults him after hearing out an explanation. He broke the guy's nose when the bf asks him, rightfully so, to not ask intrusive questions about their sex life. Imagine your brother that invested in your sex life. ew. He set off the friggin security alarm, that is how the boyfriend gets saved. Since it's the partner's place he comes in and sends the guy to a hospital. It's wild how it's treated like he just called him something awful and then stopped (he does that too). That and the brother lying to people, immediately, without missing a beat about being his sibling's bf is just plain disgusting. Even only children wouldn't think that is realistic. I know I haven't finished the story but I highly, highly doubt that he would receive any treatment for his rage issues and weird incestuous insinuations. The reasons for him being this obsessed is also very unthought out. It's creative I guess, but also very ridiculous. First, he realised that a man who his brother befriended ended up being a murderer when they were kids. Okay that is concerning ig but it was years ago and they aren't children now. Then the second "explanation" comes along and it's incredibly insane. Apparently, his brother was dating twins... at the same time... without realising it. This is really, the most stupidest plot twists I've ever read, it even puts telenovelas to shame. If you are fine with the enabling of one of the side character who is a narcissistic violent manchild, then I am sure you should be fine with this. Although I'll admit I will never understand why that would go with the mindless fluff aspect of the rest of the comic. But, Save yourself from some trouble and find another story to read. You deserve better.
