The artwork is crappy. There are weird and ugly decisions made with the eyes. There are far too few details in the backgrounds and the characters are also quite simplistic and generic in their designs. The characters are...better than the artwork, I guess? But they are still within the "crappy" range, I'd say. The main characters are the dead-eyed boy, Yuuki, and the "seatmate killer" girl, Yui. Yuuki doesn't let things bother fem and basically has nerves of steel. Yui was given the nickname "seatmate killer" because fe is friendly with the people sitting next to fem. Yui specifically wants to make the people fe's sitting next to laugh, to make their interactions more pleasant. As for side characters, there are two guys who had both gotten rejected by Yui previously and they are both entirely worthless as characters. Then there's Yuuki's younger sister, Mina. Mina's story is kinda interesting, but I wish that the author didn't feel the need to add weird incestuous vibes in some of the siblings' interactions. We also see Yui's older sister, who is (I guess) alright as a supporting character. And finally, there's another girl named Rio who is jealous of Yuuki's relationship with Yui and who Yui mistakenly assumes is a love rival also interested in Yuuki. I...do not care for Rio's role within the story. I understand that the story needed to introduce new dramatic elements to keep the tension alive, but I think the misunderstandings that are occurring are just kinda simple and uninteresting. I think this manga is largely meant to be a comedy. Most of the jokes are gags related to other manga or anime (Doraemon is brought up multiple times), and there are several visual gags where the characters will be drawn in the other manga's style or wearing other clothes or whatever. I don't personally find the humor within this series to be very funny at all. Like, I didn't laugh even a single time, so by that metric, I would consider this to be a failure as a comedy series. And as a school-life romance, I think this manga is pretty boring and relies far too heavily on Yuuki being unobservant. [Reviewed at chapter 15]
