Yotsuba has brief interations with Ena, Fuuka, Asagi, and feir daddy. In the eventual series (Yotsuba&), the three girls are sisters, but in this one-shot they are portrayed more as just people from around the neighborhood. It very much gives off the impression that Yotsuba is nosy and knows everyone in town. Fe is naive and innocent and has malfunctioning dangersense, leading fem to hold on to the lowered guard rail at a railroad crossing as it rises up. No harm occurs.

Some of the humor comes from delayed reactions, portrayed by having multiple panels show the same or similar blank facial expressions. The artwork isn't very good. It's awkward, and the eyes and mouths can feel tacked on and badly positioned.

Also, as far as I can tell, there is only one chapter (and not two, as animeplanet is listing).
