Second season of Truth or Dare.
Before I get into this review, let me ask you something. If revenge had a smell, what do you think it would smell like? A stench like rotten eggs, or an aroma like perfume. I think the latter. Oh sweet, sweet revenge... This isn't a story about revenge, but the story of a savior. If you've read season 1 of Truth or Dare, you understand that Wee Jinsol had been fooling Ohn Saegye the whole time. Heartbreaking, isn't it? Now that Saegye has become a false, he can only tell lies. Jinsol promised to give his dare ability back when he was done with it; three years. This season is about Saegye exposing the dares with the help of Caesar, and foiling Jinsol's plans to prevent him from dying. At this point, Saegye hates him. Season 2 is mind-blowingly good. The ending is much better than I had expected and I completed this with a satisfied look on my face. The melancholic tone of the story is shattered in the last two chapters and the last chapter is cute (which is nice considering what the first season-ending chapter was about.) Let me tell you something, this season, above all else, was extremely satisfying. I can only say good things. See ya.
Wow. Just wow. This was generally such a good manwha. (I don't usually leave reviews so i'm gonna break this down like other reviews i've seen) The story: was amazing, in my personal opinion. To me, whenever a BL (whether it be yaoi or shounen-ai) trys to include an interesting story plot/mystery, I feel like they zoom in too much on the plot instead of the characters love life and sometimes the plot can also be quite boring. But in this one, I definitely felt like it balanced out the romance and side plot rlly well. Then again if someone (you for example) were to have the opposite opinion, I feel like I could also partially agree- mainly because the few second to last chapters focused on the plot a lot. Art: was good. There were pretty much absolutely no bad or weird looking panels, and I also generally just like the art style. Me personally, I hate reading things with no color, but that applies mostly to classic Japanese mangas and stuff, and even though the art was close to colorless it was still really good, so for anyone out there who avoids reading things with no color like me: DON'T! It's really nice :) Characters: honestly, I can't even really put it into words (btw, i'm not one for literature especially poetry, but the writing style was just beautiful) most of them were fr, kinda toxic ngl- but I feel like the roles and lines and personalities were just so well played out (like I said I can't really describe it). And the trauma is just ✨*chef's kiss✨ which sounds rlly mean but if you read it you'll understand. And did I metion they're all super hot😃- Overall: definitely read it. It's amazing. I'm not too content with the ending but also kinda am so yeah-
The art is spectacular! The second part has a change in color palette (darker tones) that fits the suspenseful climax so well. Loved the characters although I still wanted more out of the main relationship. The second part focuses on their individual storylines instead of their fate together, and while I do think was a good decision on some level, I wished we could've seen them interact more. The ending is satisfying; although, it can seem a bit underwhelming. The world of Truth or Dare has so much depth that I wouldn't mind if the series was longer to properly explore all the nooks and crannies this dystopic world with all of its fucking brilliant characters had to offer.
