A samurai is worried about the fact that his wife always seems to wear a forced smile whenever she's with him.
Absolutely adorable one page chapters showing life as a married couple who are still unaware of each others emotions. Set in historical past of samaris.
The chapters are built around a very simple irony: Soujirou misunderstanding why feir wife has a strained smile. Everyone around fem understands how much the wife cares for fem, because they notice the lustful faces, blushing faces, and pouting faces fe makes which Soujirou either doesn't notice or doesn't recognize for what they are. The manga relies on adorability for its entertainment value. But adorability alone isn't enough to make a story captivating and rereadable, and this story feels like that's all it has going for it (and also, I don't even find all of the "adorable" scenes adorable). Also, several of the characters look overly similar. [Reviewed at chapter 14]
Like the ratings show the story and characters are nothing amazing or revolutionary. There is slow progression both in the story line or in the characters themselves. That being said I loved the manga. Currently on Chapter 30 and waiting for an update, I have enjoyed every panel of this manga. Its easy to follow, romantic, cute, funny and wholesome. Expectations going into this read should be to have fun and enjoy a cute married couple go about their everyday lives with romantic twists and misunderstandings.
