Tokyo Kaido

The eccentric Dr. Tamaki is doing brain research. Hashi, 19 and a half, has a small fragment of a car that remained in his brain after an accident, and since then he can't help but say out loud everything he thinks and feels. The brain of 6 year old Mari cannot perceive the people around her, she lives in an isolated world where there is no other human being apart from her. Tokyo Kaido leans heavily into Western influences in both consumerism and narrative, and while this will not be for everyone, it is a nice deviation into unconventional manga. this manga became one of my favorites for many, many reasons. It has pretty cool art, a nice story that might make you cry in the end (didn't happen to me tho) and some nice characters that are somewhat relatable. I won't spoil it so you read it, but it's a story of a bunch of people with mental illnesses/ illnesses in general and how a dr. treats them. But hey, something big happens in the middle of it, so the story changes a bit. I ended up liking every single character in this manga and getting this wholesome vibe to it. idk, i recommend it a lot:)
